The home is well appointed and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and preparing meals. The patio could definitely use a large umbrella, retractable awning or tiki as the morning sun on the patio is brutal with very little shade. One small umbrella isn't enough for several people. We enjoy the sun and heat, but it was too uncomfortable to even enjoying morning coffee out there. There are 13 chairs on the patio area, and only 1 lounge. For a house that sleeps 6, it would seem more appropriate to have less chairs (which clutter the limited outdoor space) and an additional lounge. The sheets, pillowcases and pillows were laundered but stained in two bedrooms. The white towels, washcloths, and bathmats (including the extras in the closet) were dingy grey and most of the washcloths had dark makeup stains (pretty gross). Having the renters do the laundry for you isn't working, but the cleaning service shouldn't be using them either when preparing the house. I'd recommend a linen service that properly washes and bleaches. Check-in and check-out is all done self-service from a box on the outside front step of the rental office with envelopes for all the weekly rentals in the same box. There is no security with the keys, and no one at the office if picking up after 5pm. If you want to speak with someone at the office while there, they conduct all their business outside on the step. It's just odd, and not super welcoming. There are a few things the owner could do to make improvements, but mostly my concerns were with how it is managed and the service provided. I made it a point to talk to Leslie about the issues upon check out to give some feedback. She listened, but didn't seem real concerned or interested. She told me not to provide feedback if I couldn't provide a 5-star rating. That speaks volumes. As far as the home - it's a 4 star, but management is a 3 star at best. I'd stay at this property again, but not under this management.
