Annual fishing trip

Our 2nd time staying at the property. Everything was great! Rooms each had a private bathroom. If I had to nitpick, I would say that I wish the kitchen countertops weren't tile and the the dock wasn't concrete. Not nearly enough to take away from the 5 star. Property mgnt company was great as well We had a tire issue on the trailer and they were understanding. Definitely recommend this place but not on the 2nd/3rd week of May... that's our week!

Annual fishing trip

So my cousin and I annually take the boat down to Key Colony Beach (KCB), to fish (May 18th -25th). Let me begin that yes, we would rent this property again. The three rooms all had their own private bathroom. Master is on the 3rd floor with private balcony and the room is oversized. Washer is in the hallway, while the dryer is in the 2nd bedroom. A/C was cold, refrigerator was cold and the fridge had filtered water. Coffee machine is old school. Unfortunately, no Keurig. The living room and dining are very spacious. It was nice parking under the house and having the car in the shade. Kitchen had room. Only drawback with the kitchen was there was no real pantry, but there is a lot of counter space. Check in/out was extremely easy. The docking area is okay. We wish that the owner would put boat dock cleats. Also, seeing that the dock is concrete, maybe larger pylons or larger rubber dock bumpers. The fish cleaning table is standard size. The shrubbery could of be cut back some from the table, but I’m knit picking and you can easily filet your catch. The bait freezer conveniently is on the ground floor and there are plenty of hoses. The area is extremely safe. DON’T speed in KCB, you’ll get a ticket. The club pool is nice with a bar for adult tasty beverages and frozen drinks. My cousin and I would definitely recommend this rental.

can you say cheap?

only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. window blinds in disrepair. hair in upstairs bathtub. checkout procedures over the top. strip beds? wash bath linens? we love key colony beach, and the place grew on us. so it wasn't all bad by any means. oh yeah, this is kinda funny-- at check in the lady said, if you need us, email, DON'T CALL. lol.

Great place for a group with privacy

Our favorite part of the house was each bedroom had its own bathroom. It made traveling with others easy! Great location in Key Colony.

First time in the Keys Great spot as a home base!

Great property and great home-base to tour around the keys and access to different activities. My only thing I would mention is a management company manages the property, so the connection is a little less friendly and very formal. I guess I am just used to connecting with the property owners and experiencing a more authentic conversation, etc. If that maes sense.

Wonderful stay!

Nice, quiet neighborhood. Close to many attractions. Clean and spacious house, well equipped for our stay. Saw nurse shark, lots of fish and birds on canal. Would highly recommend.

Family get-together in the Keys

My husband and I, two sons, and daughter-in-law voted our family get-together in the Keys this year. Our Key Colony rental fit our needs perfectly. There was more than enough room for all in this wonderful home away from home. We started each day cooking up breakfast in the beautiful sunny kitchen and ate on the patio overlooking the water where boats passed by. We had everything from books to movies and a tennis racquet for everyone to play at the courts across the street. Attention to detail made this the perfect place for our family to kick back and relax. I won't hesitate to book from this host in the future!! The Hewins Family

It was ok

I did like this place, but it was outdated for the amount of money you pay to stay there. If you think you are coming there with the expectations that this place has standard household items, you will be disappointed. No siren wrap, no salt or pepper, no spices of any kind, no cooking spray. (We left ours for the next poor soul).

Property as described, property manager was responsive. House could use more plates, glasses and cups for the advertised number of occupants, but it was fine with frequent dish washing.

SCUBA Trip to the Keys

Our group of 3 couples stayed at this house the last week of Sept 2019 for a week, to see the Keys and get in some SCUBA diving. First I want to say the management group was great to work with, we had to delay our trip a few weeks because of Hurricane Dorian and they were very compliant with helping us change our plans. As for the property, it is great. It sets right on one of the canals from the ocean and we saw lots of Jellyfish, spotted a Nurse-shark and one day we were all entertained by about 6 manatees. The house is great for multiple family as each room has a full bathroom and there is an extra half bath. The location is also great as Key Colony sits about half-way between Key Largo and Key West. We did spend a day in Key West, which was really fun. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

Family vaca

We had a great time . There are a few things that need to be fixed . The bed frame upstairs needs to be fixed or replaced..the bed coverings need to be updated and the livingroom furniture needs to be replaced. The washer and dryer should be together it makes it inconvenient for the other guests if they need to dry their clothes. Other than that it was a nice place...we would like to visit again...thank you Denise B
