Wonderful place 5 min walk from Ski Lift!

Was easy to check in, cozy accommodations, relaxing jacuzzi in the condo and a lovely balcony and fireplace. Would totally stay there again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience with this condominium located in The Springs just a few short yards away from the gondola. This condominium was a great size and a big bonus was the third full bathroom! Being on the fifth floor, and not one who likes elevators, I did get my exercise every day walking five flights of stairs, but the rest of the family was fine with the elevators. We have made Keystone our snow skiing vacation spot for over 30 years, but this year with Vail corporation prices escalating to unreasonable amounts, this VRBO was a fantastic and affordable option. This was our first VRBO experience and we will definitely be doing this again.

WHEN I CALLED MANAGEMENT COMPANY FOR ADDITIONAL TRASH BAGS I WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO DRIVE TO THEIR OFFICE ON HWY. 6 IN KEYSTONE TO PICK THEM UP....NOBODY ON PROPERTY COULD PROVIDE US WITH ADDITIONAL TRASH BAGS.

Clean, comfortable and convenient!

We had a wonderful stay in this property over our Christmas vacation. Pros: the location can’t be beat. It may be the very best building for proximity to the River Run gondola. It was also very convenient for walking to restaurants and the Dercum ice rink. The bedroom arrangement meant that my three children were quite comfortable sharing a room with each in their own bed. The living and dining areas had good seating for our family of 5. The pool area was a great way to relax after a day on the slopes. Cons: The building can be a little chilly, but space heaters were thoughtfully provided. The walls are thin, so it would be good to bring earplugs or a sound machine in case your neighbors are on a different schedule. The property was generally very well equipped but needs potholders and some more hangers. I definitely recommend this property.

Pool disappointment

We were not notified that you had to reserve time for the pool and this was a huge disappointment to our 4 kids. We were only there for one night and there wasn’t any availability by the time we were made aware. We understand that there are Covid restrictions but no one had made us aware beforehand.

Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was fantastic for staying in Keystone with a young family. Unit was convenient and near the elevator. Heated parking garage was a fantastic perk. The only complaint we had was that all of the beds in the condo were firm mattresses. We only slept in the master one night, the rest of the nights we had to stay on the guest bed because it was less firm and not memory foam. We also had the maids open the door to deliver their supplies, one hour before checkout. Actually opened the door without knocking with my children in the living room and us in the back rooms getting ready.

Good Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo had 2 bedrooms and 3 full baths. It was like having 2 master bedrooms. I would recommend. However, just to let you know, there is absolutely NO air conditioning. The condo was hot when we got there and the first night was unpleasant. We put the fans in the windows to blow in some cold air. But one of the rooms remained hot because it had a window on the ceiling and air was not coming in. One of the fans were broken also. But we learned how to cool the condo better. Would have preferred some air conditioning due to our allergies, I think next time, we need to consider if the place has air or not. We were coughing for most of the trip. =( But it had everything you needed, the beds and pillows were mostly comfortable. Another item that may be of concern, is who you need to contact if you need anything. I would recommend especially if you wanted to stay in River Run as most of the units there don't have air.

Extra beds and bathrooms a plus, but overall just an okay condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in at least a dozen properties around River Run including at least 4 in The Springs and, unfortunately, this was not one of our better experiences. The best part of this property and the whole reason I chose it was that our 3 kids could each have their own bed with no one on a pullout in the living room. That and the extra bathroom were great and redeemed this condo. But the living area is pretty tight otherwise and all of the furniture is very worn. Our main issues were the kitchen, where the dishwasher is gross and barely worked and faucet was half broken and very basic. I found several dirty dishes in the cupboards but figured out after we ran the dishwasher that they had been washed but just don't actually get clean. The dishes and pots/pans were not in great shape generally and more like garage sale finds than we're used to in ski town rentals. It can't help that the water pressure is terrible, maybe because of being on the 5th floor, so faucets and especially showers were just a trickle and a real letdown after skiing. Finally, while I generally like The Springs, the elevator to the 5th floor was broken for 3 days of our stay so we had to climb a lot of stairs and the construction next door was more disruptive than I anticipated. The path around it was not well lit at night and made for a stressful trip during the day with frequent construction trucks and ski-laden kids side by side on the icy roads. We'll look for another property next time.

The unit need more proactive maintenance

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My experience was really good except for one thing. The unit had obvious maintenance issues. The silverware drawer was jammed from a previous guest. One of the bathtub drains was clogged so you're standing in dirty water while you're taking a shower. These are the kinds of things that can be looked at proactively in between when guests are there. Instead I had to call for maintenance. When I did, I had to text and email to additional times before somebody showed up. Apparently there was an emergency with a burst pipe at another one of the properties. I understand that. At the same time it was a little odd having the wonderful maintenance person into our unit at 6:00 p.m. on a Sunday night. If the property management company did a better job with being proactive looking around at simple to fix issues before guests came, I would gladly give a higher review. The people I interacted with over text and email regarding the issues with the property maintenance were very friendly. However they didn't get resolved quickly. If this were some cheap motel 6, no problem. For the money we spent for the long weekend, my expectation is that the bathtubs don't have any clogs, the silver drawer pulls out easily, and the sink knobs and shower knobs function well with nice tight firm connections. Everything in this unit is loose and on the verge of falling apart

It gets worse every year…

Let me start by saying that this is our 3rd time in Keystone and this was by far the worst experience we had. 1) We contacted the property management a day before our check in time and we requested an early check-in (willing to pay extra) because their check-in time is 4:30pm and we were arriving at noon. We were told that they can’t promise anything and we have to contact them again on the day of arrival, which makes no sense because of you are a good property manager you would not wait until the day of to schedule your house cleaning etc…The entry code did not work until 4:30pm so we could not even get inside the common area to stay warm. 2) We also asked a day in advance to ensure that the sleeping sofa has bed sheets, pillows and blankets. When we checked in we found out that there were no blankets for the sleeping sofa. One member of our group had to sleep one night without a blanket (absolutely unacceptable). A day later and a few more text messages we received a blanket… 3) The unit we rented was on top floor (5) and only one elevator servicing that floor was not working when we arrived and got fixed a day later. We had to carry all our luggage and ski equipment through the stairs. This was a miserable experience and totally unacceptable. Luckily we did not have anyone in the group that was disabled but we met other people who had a really tough time climbing stairs with their small children and elderly friends/ relatives. 4) The main reason we booked this unit was the grill on the balcony that was clearly visible in the pictures. Well…there was no grill to be found. We resorted to using the common area grill by the pool BUT it did not work. The gas burners lit up but could not heat up the grill over 70 degrees, so we could not grill any of the meet we had purchased. 5) There is construction going on next to the property where they are developing new condominiums which resulted in blocking off the path to the village and we had to around ways of. What should have been a short 1 minute walk turned into 5+ minutes of walking to get to the shops and restaurants. 6) last but not least, the water pressure in our unit was so low that taking a shower after a long days on the slopes was a miserable experience.

Nice Location, could use some much needed updates!

Reviewer Comments: The location of this rental is great, the pool and other guest amenities were perfect for my kids and the walking trails to the village were well maintained and easy to access. The unit itself (and the building as a whole) could use some updates especially for the summer months. There is no central AC in the building, so the hallways, common areas and our top floor unit was VERY stuffy and hot. While the unit provided box fans, the simple addition of ceiling fans or ductless AC units would have made a huge difference in the comfort of our stay. Our unit was over 80 degrees at 11:30 PM even with all the box fans going and windows open. The dining room chairs were falling apart in the seats and should definitely be replaced and the arm chairs in the living room were coming apart at the seams, with stuffing falling out.

Nice condo close to the lift

The condo is nice and close to the lift. Sleeps 5 or 6 and the beds are nice. There is a new condominium being built between this condo and the lift. Pool and hot tubs are nice. Would definitely stay again!
