After a stay in downtown Reykjavik, where parking was a struggle after every outing... we chose to find a hotel with free parking for our 2nd Icelandic stopover. Nice quiet twin room with generous bath & walk-in shower. Easy drive to town, NW for sightseeing, or E to airport. 24/7 desk opened the bar for consolation drink when we struck out with Northern lights and returned after midnight. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and adequate, not noteworthy.

Extremely good staff
We enjoyed our stay very much. The front desk staff was the most helpful and friendly of any hotel I’ve ever stayed. They were like a personal concierge. They called for transportation and made numerous recommendations for food and activities. They were also happy to answer our many questions.

Comfortable and good service
Room was clean and comfortable. It was small but that is usually the norm in Iceland, and the room had all I needed so nothing to complain. Free parking, convenient location for those with cars. 24hrs front desk which is appreciated, service was very good and breakfast had a good selection. I will definitely come back

We were a little surprised at how outdated the room was. It seemed clean, but all the furniture and fixtures were very old. There was a pipe sort of thing protruding from the wall in the bathroom that they had wrapped with duct tape. Breakfast was really good! The staff was nice.

The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Free car park on site. It’s a good place to stay if you have a car and want a bigger room with free car park compared to P1 zone accommodation. It’s common to have water with sulphur in Iceland.

Great front of house staff who were very helpful and friendly. Our room let in a lot of traffic noise due to the window vent. It did overlook a busy main road so noise all night. Room was adequately equipped and beds comfortable. Decor and bathroom were a bit tired and in need of updating. Breakfast extra but good. Good overall stay.

Tiny room, tiny bathroom; but then you won't be staying too much in the room anyway. Draperies do not totally block the light. Remember to bring eye masks if you come in the summer. Tip: in stead of paying for their breakfast, driving 10 minutes to Costco.

the people were great, the food was too, and it was clean. The hours for breakfast were generous. Our deadbolt didn't work. Our only window immediately faced the freeway, and you could hear the cars all the time.

Dear Arnold,Theres sulphur in almost all natural hot water in Reykjavik and its surroundings. The smell will however not stick to you. Cold water doesnt contain any sulphur and it is drinkable.

Be prepared to be fleeced and underwhelmed in Iceland. This hotel was a cheaper alternative, but still rather expensive. Instead of a normal hotel room, though, you get a tiny space with an uncomfortable twin bed, poor excuse for a pillow, two foot by two foot shower space where you can't move without banging into something and the shower curtain clings to you, radiator heat that doesn't really enable you to control the room temperature, barely enough space to stand or sit at the tiny desk, and of course, no in-room fridge like you might get almost anywhere else (outside Iceland). While expensive at around $16/person, the breakfast is pretty good.

Price point was good, breakfast was ready by 6am which we appreciated. Room was clean when we came back. Despite the smell of sulfur in the bathroom (because of the hot water) if you keep the door closed it’s totally fine. Elevator was helpful. The area surrounding is good, easy access to restaurants if needed, close to the mall (driving) and Costco where we got gas for the car every morning. It didn’t have a fridge, but since it’s cold outside and there’s a little covered patio space we put our bottles and drinks there to keep it cold. All in Al it was perfect for what we needed and price was better than other hotels we looked at.
