Walkable to many restaurants including Whalers village which is right next door. 2 drawbacks : shower temperature was off and hard to adjust, shower was cold for at least 5 min before becoming warm and a very loud noise was always present coming from the generators in whalers village. I watched dolphins swim by from my couch but… My couch was infested with tiny ants and the HVAC in the living room was so loud, I learned to spend time only in the bedroom or outside. The place was safe, quiet, friendly. The other guests were friendly and well mannered. The location was great. Off the beaten path but convenient to amazing snorkeling and easy access to food. You are near everything...beach, restaurants and Whalers shopping center. Loved the pool area as well. Lots of chairs and lots of tables if you want to eat near the pool while looking over at the ocean. I have stayed 6x at different resorts on Kaanapali and this is in my top 2. "What's not to like? It has everything you need and is reasonably priced unlike the rest of Maui. I liked the beach house restaurant across the street. And there's other dining options down the road. The beach is nearby. The staff was really friendly and helpful . It was great. "
