Superb

Niki and Piet are great hosts, very welcoming. The accommodation is fantastic, in a stunning location. The kitchen is well stocked with a great selection of essentials, sauces, spices etc. The shower room is also well stocked with toiletries, slippers etc. We had a wonderful stay here, highly recommended and I would definitely stay again.

A truly marvellous stay!

The week we spent at Voortrekkers Lodge, Levenwick, was an absolutely marvellous experience. The spectacular view from the lodge, the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts and the cosy, clean accomodation all contributed to a wonderful holiday away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We adored the goats and the almost-goat-sheep at our front door! Thank you, Niki and Piet, we are surely planning to come back some day. Maybe I will even try the smoked, freshly caught fish then...

We woke every morning to the haunting sound of curlews. Watching the ever changing sea & listening to the birdsong, everything else after that is a bonus.

Niki and Piet have created a beautiful haven in their Mogill apartment. Nothing was too much trouble for them and with the added bonus of the sauna and hot tub, this turned into one of the best holidays we have experienced. We were able to relax and sit and watch the animals (including Tom and Jerry the goats) and birds and look out over the cliffs and sea.We were a little concerned when we booked that we were too far down South, but we needn't have worried. With great roads and connections the Voortrekker apartments are a lovely base to discover Shetland. Mogill apartment is beautifully decorated and has everything you need as well as being spotless. The robes, provided for the hot tub and sauna are a lovely touch. This was more than a holiday, this took us down a notch or two in the pace of our life at a time when we really needed it.Thankyou Niki and Piet x
