"Perfect stay for our scout troop weekend at Hersheypark. The house was clean and comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed and plenty of space for our group. It was a safe quiet neighborhood about 20 minutes from the park. As others have mentioned, the stairs are steep and the downstairs much colder than upstairs but overall it was exactly what we needed, would stay here again."

Close enough to the city and highway access, yet quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The host has thought out everything you might need: charging stations, extra shampoo, breakfast foods. "The cabin has all the comforts of a house and all the charm of a rustic cabin. It’s extremely old, so there are all the cool old house eccentricities you’d expect. The house is full of taxidermied animals, including an amazing sculpture of two mountain goats in mid-prance. It’s like a museum, and sort of a shrine to hunting. "I loved the location-very close to the amenities in Midtown and easily walkable to the Capital District. Checking in process was easy and Bea was an excellent host. The Verbeke House is roomy and had a stocked kitchen. I would definitely stay here again."
