I stayed at this property for 12 nights. Within the 12 nights I did not receive room service once- not once. I had to ask for clean linen even though they said weekly cleaning. The first room I was given had the lock broken and it took two nights to change my room...even though the hotel was practically empty. I was forced to leave my valuables in the unlocked room while I went to work. Then, in the new room, the Aircon/ hearing unit was broken. I notified the concierge/ Porter and she said it would take a few days to be fixed as it was down I. The whole building. it never was fixed while I was there. What a miserable time I had here and will never recommend. NEVER.

It was pretty much as advertised: small rooms and steps to get to them (ie no lift). Really easy location for access to tube (both Paddington and Lancaster Gate), lots of restaurant options, right by Hyde Park and close to Kensington Gardens. Little communal kitchen with a couple of mini-fridges and microwave, multiple laundry machines a floor above. A tiny bit thin-walled but generally very quiet clientele. Many women business travellers (at least that was my impression from minimal convo in kitchen) which I always look at as a good sign (for disclosure I am male, but a little up in years). The place grew on me, despite small room, mainly because of great location.

Great location, very close to Paddington underground and very accessible to good restaurants and food around the vicinity. Only drawback for me was the room I’ve got was facing the mainroad, so could be a little tad noisy. Would visit again!

This is a perfect hotel for business travel and/or one night lay over etc. as it is literally around the corner from Paddington. Great eats close by, too. My room was very small but that's exactly what I expected and the descriptions are accurate - I was very comfortable and the front of house went out of their way to accommodate me with an earlier check-in.

Room was way too hot and there was no way to cool it down. The windows only opened 5 cm, and they didn’t stay open, so the room was stuffy. I was promised a fan 3 times before I got one on my last night and was finally able to sleep a little. I always sleep with earplugs when I travel, but the street noise was far worse than I expected and too much for my earplugs. I was in a premium single room on the top floor. I would guess a room on the ground or first floors would be better. I’m a small person, and I found the shower stall to be very tight. Premium room was spacious. Bathroom was warm (in a good way). Location was great.

Awesome location!
Great location as it's just 4-5 minute walk from the Paddington Station so if you're taking Heathrow Express, it'll make it easy to travel to/from Heathrow. There are also plenty of restaurants, pubs, stores, etc. near by. The only fault I'd find is the lack of available outlets in my room. Had to unplug a desk lamp so that I can charge my laptop.

Great location and price
Great value for price and location. Manager was very helpful. Common area well stocked and clean. The bed sagged and there seemed to be something broken underneath that sounded like a loose board hitting the wall. The blanket was too small for the bed; it covered the bed but not 2 people. Fortunately the heated towel rack kept the room very warm.. The fire door hinge was very loud when it closed and it was impossible to go in or out quietly. It is still a great value and we would stay there again.

Cheap and cheerful near Paddington Station
Great location near Paddington Station. Small, but clean and has all the essentials. Doesn't have a lift so may not be for people who struggle with stairs.

No frills room, good for location
No lift/elevator, but that's fine for most of us (but if not, don't book here). Rooms are pretty bare-bones and this being a long-stay place, there's no cleaning. That's okay, but there needs to be more towels. The fire alarm that went off near midnight was no fun tho, esp when the front desk is not manned at that hour. Basically a glorified crash pad, and if that's what you need, this is great -- especially the location (steps from Paddington AND Lancaster Gate Tubes).

The room and bathroom was tiny and everything felt low quality. Also, there was a lot of internal noise--footsteps in room above, toilets and showers in use. I felt it was very much a hostel environment, and overpriced as such. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. And the location was fantastic.

Absolutely must stay!
Great budget accomodation. The room was very clean, great amenities such as a kitchen (they offered cereal for breakfast and tea and coffee for free) and laundry. Location is the best to base yourself in London as it’s walking distance from Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate. Staff were exceptionally helpful - we arrived 15 minutes after their check in time and called ahead and they stayed back for us. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone and great value for money.

Excellent location (2 minutes from Paddington Station that takes you in 16 minutes to Heathrow Airport in an express train). Courteous staff. Free quick breakfast, yet plenty of good restaurant around. 3 min walk to Hyde Park. Calm neighborhood. Ideal small, clean room for a solo trip at a very reasonable budget. This is my second time at this hotel and will not go anywhere else on my next trip to London

The service is shocking. Starting with checking in. You have to push a buzzer to get in, the receptionist is right in front of me and yet I was made to wait a long time before she answered, which was fine as she may be busy. She took my full credit card details which was a surprise to me even though I already paid in full with Hotels.com. The room was not clean. A strand of long hair under the duvet. The window shelf area behind the curtain was very very dirty with lots of dust and died flies. Absolutely disgusting. However the bed and shower is very comfortable giving it is newly renovated. The check out morning was absolutely disgraceful! I stayed in for a total of one night. The check out time is 11am. From 10am someone opened my door and came in WITHOUT KNOCKING!!!!! Whilst I was still lying in my bed. She simply said sorry and left. The. 10 minutes later another person, a man, started knocking my door saying maintenance. ?!!!!! I only stay for one night, do they not have a system of checking the stay schedule? I shouted no and he left then came back knocking again 10 minutes later. I have to say the property itself is good for the price and very easily accessible as it is 1 min walk next to the Paddington Metro station. However the service is absolutely shocking!
