"We can't say enough good things about our stay! The property is beautiful, the cabin comfy and welcoming It is completely rural while still being convenient to many of the area's attractions. The cabin itself is well-appointed with new appliances, comfy beds, and a well-equipped kitchen. Interesting books and games available, too.We enjoyed using the fire pit one evening (after checking the fire-danger posting) and also the outdoor grill. Coming home to the cabin after a day of sightseeing was something we looked forward to. Thank you, Jacqueline, for one of the highlights of our trip."

"This place is nicely located off the Maine route to Bar Harbor, so it works great as a stop off both going to or coming from. There's also a handy grocery shop and gas station right at the corner. The trip back and forth to Mt. Desert can easily be done in a day, especially if it is during the week. With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, laundry, full kitchen, and a comfortable TV room to entertain the kids, it's a good alternative to camping or staying in a more rustic setting. We didn't make it down to the water, as it is down a long steep driveway and across the road with iffy footing to the deck and dock area. I have difficulty walking, so for those more sure footed that might be a nice bonus."
