We loved this house, the neighborhood and our 2-week stay there. The check-in was easy and, at least for us, there was no need to communicate with the owner because everything went smoothly and all appliances, etc. were in really good shape. To me, the house and neighborhood have happy vibes— on a quiet, lovely street but near the great restaurants and cafes of Hillhurst and, a little further on, North Vermont. Staying in this house enhanced our visit to LA. And it certainly helped that this house is dog-friendly and with a fairly large back yard, as we had our two furry friends with us as well.

Great House in Fantastic Neighborhood

This was exactly what we were hoping--a home to share with our family over the Thanksgiving holiday in LA. A very comfortable home with a dog-friendly back yard complete with a fire pit. The only (minor) issue was the lack of response to a couple of simple questions in messages to the host. In the end, not a big problem, but as experienced travelers we have always had questions to hosts answered in a timely fashion and we never got any response here. We will definitely consider staying here in the future.

Unresponsive host

After mistakenly putting in the wrong month for the rental, the host was very kind to say that we could change the date. I offered several other alternative dates but his initial response was the last I received. I spoke several times to VRBO Customer Service and they tried as well to contact the host by both phone and email—all unsuccessfully. So I lost my initial deposit and did not stay at the house. An earlier reviewer commented that the owner was unresponsive. I would say that is an understatement. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!
