“I came up with my teenage son and some of his far-flung friends who usually only meet on zoom and wanted to have a getaway together. They cooked, hiked and played board games. Everyone liked the house. It looked even nicer than the pictures. Very roomy. Lovely rural area to explore. Everything we could want for our stay except the wifi could be better. There was decent cell service though.”

“Set in a nice community in the mountains near a golf course. Well-appointed throughout the property. I especially appreciated the fully-equipped kitchen, BBQ and utensils, bath, and washer and dryer (though washer was quite noisy). There is a nice deck amongst the pines where you can BBQ, a dining table shaded by upper rental's deck, and an area clear to the sun with chairs to kick your feet up. Large couch and TV; very comfy King-sized bed; hardwood floors; dining room; etc... I would……

“We were not originally planning on staying in Middletown but were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The Garden House is very comfortable and convenient to many things in town. Linda, our host had special little touches that made the stay relaxing. Number one the shower is amazing! I looked forward to it every evening the pressure and hot water is perfect and the quality shampoos and soaps provides smelled wonderful! “Location was good, nice view, but I didn’t realize highway 20 was just 40 yards below the deck, thus somewhat noisy outside. The host was wonderful, very responsive and accommodating, couldn’t ask for more. There was some dirt on blinds and window sills, but not bad. The neighborhood was ok, a few abandoned homes down the road, but nice homes surrounding the house. Overall a good stay, we went to Blue Lakes lodge to swim the next day, nice… ”

“The deck is outstanding - we spent pretty much every moment, from morning coffee to evening cocktails, there. Super great communication with Martine, well-equipped kitchen, and all slept well. “Great house in a great location. Everything my family needed for memorable trip was provided and then some. Quiet neighborhood with easy access to the water for swimming, paddle boarding, and boating. We will definitely look into booking this again in the future.”

“We had a great time. It did make us a little nervous on the windy road getting there but once we were there it was so great. There is a dirt drive way that has an incline so it made it hard backing up our boat the truck was sliding. The next day when we were taking the boat to get inspected after words we didn’t launch it at the house. We launched it at a boat launch across the lake. We did dock the boat and our kayak at the beach at the house. When we’re were going to leave, we drove the boat……
