"We were thankful we could book this stay after 6pm online and get into our room soon after I did have a similar experience as another reviewer who said the manager had a card machine promt for me to pay I told him we had payed via hotels.com and after checking he apologized I asked to borrow an iron and was told they don't have one as they were new owners/managers So take your own if you can Nice pint and open fire in there It seems most punters know one another well and we did feel a little out of ace but it wasn't a problem really The room was small and we did have issue with old water system making a horrendous noise every time the toilet flushes (and in the next room) I would stay again if caught short but otherwise I'd probably stay elsewhere Sorry"

The kids loved seeing the bunnies and sheep that surrounded the property. The check-in process was very smooth and easy. So close to everywhere in the Lake District and easy day trips to larger cities like York or Blackpool. Lowther Castle is so close and a MUST with children. Would definitely stay here again."

"Loved this little place, it had everything we could ever need. Even with all the snow we were comfy. Make sure you take slippers though as floors are stone. But we had a great time. We will Definitely be back. Our Dog had the best time, lots of fun in the snow."
