“The chalet was clean and comfortable and in a lovely peaceful and picturesque location. However we did have a problem with the bathroom door as lock was lose and on occasions we couldn't get out of the bathroom or in if the door was properly closed. On stripping of the beds as requested by the cleaning company notes left in the chalet, my daughter was quite upset to discover a dodgy looking yellow stain on the mattress protector under the bottom sheet and also on the pillows. “The room was fantastic, spacious with every detail considered. The bed was very comfortable and huge! The bathroom had a separate bath and shower with double sinks. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Definitely worth a visit! I forgot to mention the food, that was delicious too!”

It's a shame they don't do evening meals but there are plenty of options in Barmouth centre just 10 minutes walk away though you will have an uphill walk back. Really enjoyed my stay. ”

“The room was clean but lacked a few things .they had a A small alcove to hang your clothes no draws to put your underwear in so we had to keep them in the pockets of our suitcase.door didn’t lock properly you could push it open when you locked it.had work men in fixing the heating only three staff on.whenwe we arrived told us the restaurant was closed because of shortage of staff.if we would have been told this when we applied to book a room by sandbanks we wouldn’t have booked.l believe we……

“The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night.……

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Ideal location for Fairbourne and surrounding area - you need to go to Dolgellau, Barmouth and try the Precipice Walk and Creggannan Lakes which were lovely walks with stunning views. Nice to get some milk and Welsh cakes which were lovely. Cottage was clean and comfortable, only minor negative was limited information about what to do at check out time, local contacts etc. and there wasn’t much in terms of cleaning equipment apart from a broom so couldn’t do……
