“Essentially this is a room in a lovely resort on the coast of Maine. Location was excellent, amenities abound and were as described, staff was helpful and professional. But, I would not book again through this listing again. Host did not pay entire rate. I ended up paying 20% more out of pocket and spent too much of my stay trouble-shooting with the hotel receptionists/calling the host support line. Both hotel receptionists I worked with had other customers who experienced the same as me when……

“The Lodge at Bottle Lake was the perfect place to spend a family vacation. It had everything to prepare for big meals. There were several places for people to gather and relax. The water was pristine. The owners were great at communicating with us and had everything prepared as expected. Literally no complaints. Many thanks. Highly recommend.”

“Actually writing this review whilst sitting in the screened in porch on a cool and rainy May morning. We chose this house as a base for our long weekend explorations of Acadia and the surrounding area. What we didn’t realize was that the house is a destination in itself. We had a group of 8 (parents and six adult kids) and there was plenty of room for everyone. Room to gather and room to spread out. The thoughtful touches were endless. There was so many add on charges for a room at $149. dollars, that this budget motel ended up costing a little over $630. dollars for the 2 night stay.”
