Beware of room allocation.
This is our 3rd stay. I'm generally really happy with this place and will keep coming back. The shuttle is great and saves us a lot of stress catching the taxi ourselves. I just want to mention that this time they gave us a double room even though we had booked a twin room and paid more. I didn't realise it till we got home and checked our booking carefully. Something to bear in mind for next time.

Guest house was good, friendly staff & help yourself to breakfast. The only down side is that it is hard to find, once in the street the numbers make no sense & there is no sign

Biggest issue was that the bathroom / shower were in a different part of the hotel, and that breakfast was "self serve" as in scrounging for a few eggs which you needed to cook yourself with limited equipment, spices, etc.

Excellent location
We stayed overnight at Quiet Corner after a long bus ride from Vilanculos, before flying from Maputo airport next day. We had a very comfortable stay and excellent shuttle transport to the airport. We will definitely stay again.

Great budget guesthouse near the airport.
Our flight was delayed by several hours and we didn't arrive till 2am but the staff from the hotel was there waiting for us. I was impressed! It's situated very near the airport but might be hard for the taxi to find as it's just a converted house with no clear signage. The hotel and the room are clean and pleasant. Check in was smooth and the staff helpful although they could be more friendly and smiley. Wifi, air conditioning and hot shower worked well. We enjoyed the very adequate self service breakfast. The shuttle is very reasonable and well worth the money especially arriving in a strange city at night. All in all good value for money and I would certainly come back. Not for a holiday but great for a stopover stay. We did not have time to explore the surroundings so can't comment on the area.

Convenient, reasonable, central guesthouse
I chose this location on my 4th visit to Maputo because I felt that I was paying too much during my visits to previous guesthouses. It is close to the university, diplomatic sector, consulates etc. so is very suitable for visiting academics and consultants. There are no restaurant facilities in the guesthouse, but there is a small clean kitchen for self-catering. Elvis Pool Bar is just across the road and has a good grill kitchen.

no comments, i think it is fine
The best I liked the arrangements for the breakfast. Only one comment, they should add yogurt to make it excellent. You can prepare your meal the way you like and when you like, no need to wait for service. The hotel is simple, but the location (especially for guests to UN agencies) and price are very attractive. The rooms are reasonably clean, the staff are very friendly and very helpful. Every request to fix something is done without a delay in few seconds. It is great value for the money you pay especially when you compare with other guesthouses of similar quality in the same city. I will definitely stay in the same hotel (if rooms will be available) if I come back.

Very good guesthouse, think about you are in Africa. It is not luxury but you have all you need, security, electricity, very good internet acces, 24h hot and cold water, air conditioner, international tv channel. Was a very pleasant stay
