"This location is prime for surfers and the beach is not overly busy. The property is very clean, food is good and it was nice to find little spots to hideaway from the kids for a coffee/break. Very well designed though a massive property (prepare to get your steps in). Our room was near/over one of the outdoor restaurants so we were woken to dragging furniture at 5am. other than that it was a great resort!"

"Love the casual vibe at the Occidental. Not too big, lovely walkable/swimmable beach, very clean, pleasant staff. One complaint - if the rule is towels on unoccupied chairs to be removed after one hour, why is this not enforced? It’s a big problem at the pool, not so much on the beach. "

Gerado stood out the most to us he was very nice and made sure we were taken care of every day when we were at the pool. I proposed to my now fiancé on this trip and booked a private beach dinner and also had our room decorated and Alejandra made sure everything was set up for that and made the night stress free, she was very kind to us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! "
