「The property is gorgeous and the staff is nice. Very local. But there is very very little detail about road conditions, how far it really is and how hard it is to get up there. If you are driving, it is a WAY past the town of Minca up a treacherous road. We were also assigned a cabin RIGHT next to their bar/night club which meant very loud music all afternoon and night. Not exactly the environment you are looking for going that far into the Sierra.」

「It's just basic, but you get what you pay for. The pros: Direct beach access. The beach is tranquil and well maintained. The food at the bar is very good. The chef is outstanding. Pablo and Luis were friendly. The cons: They are stingy with the coffee. The rooms are bare-bones minimal, but clean. The fan is loud and doesn't work well. I travelled with my mom and we booked 2 rooms. I would recommend it more as a hostel for younger travelers. The amenities, service and everything are very basic....

「Viajero Santa Marta is easily the best Viajero in Colombia! I spent about two weeks here on three separate visits, so I know the place quite well. First and most importantly, it's amazing value for money. The quality of the building and the rooms and the facilities is excellent. The rooftop pool and bar are beautiful, and if the hostel is well-booked out, the atmosphere up there is usually great. My only complaint is that the kitchen is too small to accommodate all the guests who want to use it,...
