Extended family Christmas reunion

Sol Mate was perfect for our extended family reunion during the Christmas holidays. Plenty of space for several families to enjoy! We ranged in age from 84 to 6 months! It is a very convenient spot with all of the familiar Miramar Beach places very close and convenient. We will look forward to coming back to Sol Mate again.

Perfect family vacation!!

Our family of 5 children and their families stayed here for a week, a total of 11 adults and 11 children. Each family had their own room with a bathroom. The common area and kitchen area accommodated us well. Plenty of room for meals as well as game nights. A great fit for us all. The pool area and beachfront location is just perfect! The views of the Gulf are gorgeous! There were a few imperfections that could be addressed, but nothing that would keep us from choosing to stay here again! It was a wonderful week! We will be back to Sol Mate!

Great House for a Group

The house provided an almost perfect venue for our family & friends. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was adequate, the living area spacious, and the patio/pool area was our hangout with a gorgeous view of the gulf. The house though isn’t without its eccentricities. The master bedroom has no closet to hang your clothes, just shelving. The refurbishment, although nice, was left unfurnished in areas. And the doors appear and operate as original to the house. One final issue, the management company could not provide me with an accurate Floor Plan of the house, which would have been very helpful to assign bedrooms to my guests. All in all, the house, beach and view provided a wonderful venue for our celebration.

This was hands down the best beach family vacation we have ever had. Sixteen family members total, and there was plenty of room to spare. This home is very large, with enough room to spread out, and we never felt cramped at all! The beach view was perfect, and the pool was great for the littles. We were so grateful that there were 2 dishwashers and 2 refrigerators. When you have this many people together, both are needed. There was also plenty of storage for pantry items. It was clean and well-maintained. The property manager was very kind and allowed us to stay a few hours past check-out. It was a huge blessing for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Location

This property although it needs some TLC, is amazing. The house is directly on the beach making it so easy for family of all ages be able to go back and forth to the house. The house is set up great with plenty of space and a great floor plan.

The property was very nice. The layout of the house is perfect for a big family especially the kitchen & eating area. We had 23 people & did not have to worry about where everyone was going to sit. The house could use a few updates, like replacing the sliding glass doors in bedrooms & going out to the pool area. Overall it was a beautiful home, nicely decorated

Wonderful location but house needs work

20 of us (10 adults and 10 children) stayed. The location is absolutely perfect & having both the pool and the beach right there was wonderful! The house, however, definitely needs some work. Two bathrooms had either no warm water or no water pressure, making them unusable for showers. Microwave is broke but works, dishwasher works once you can get it to close properly, a toilet runs constantly, kitchen faucet drips constantly, pool heater quit working (someone came out within a day to fix). Our group enjoyed our stay but would’ve liked a few less house headaches to deal with.

Sol Mate, Miramar Beach

My whole family of 20 something people enjoyed everything. Parking was easy. Fits plenty of vehicles. House was clean, beds were comfortable, pool was great and we were able to get it heated for a fee. Had a few chilly days. The grill didn’t work and they replaced it right away. Office staff was great to deal with. Ac was so cold a plus!!! The beach views were amazing and the sunsets. Can’t say anything negative. We will definitely book again! Loved it

Needs basic maintenance and cleaning

Lacking basic items. Floors were very dirty, turned the bottoms of our feet black. Sand in the bed. We had one bath towel in our room for a 5 night stay. Pool was grossly lacking in chlorine. Back patio door lock was broken, couldn’t lock the door during our entire stay. The ceiling fan in our room didn’t work. It’s obvious this owner doesn’t care about the customer when they won’t address very basic maintenance and cleaning issues.

Beachfront property was fabulous, but house is worn out

The beachfront property was ideal for our group of 15. Access was easy, and the view was nearly perfect. The house was sufficient with space, and had the necessities. However, the house is incredibly tired and in need of more than the updates that have been done. The two bedrooms upstairs without a door was annoying. The bathrooms were dingy and old, even though some of the furniture was updated and painted. The bathtubs are from the 80s and they look it. They lack enough space to hang towels, beach towels and bathing suits. The pool deck was spacious, but needs updated as it’s uneven, and easy to stub toes. The doors to the home from the deck (slider door frame) was damaged and looked very bad. The shower outside worked, but it’s in poor condition. The sides of the home on the exterior were incredibly disappointing as much of the construction trash were left there. The steps to the beach need to be repaired as their are nail pops galore and little kids and adults alike hurt their feet. The bathroom on the first floor had a broken toilet paper holder which was annoying every single time someone used the bathroom, and who likes to use toilet paper roll off of a counter on vacation? The kitchen lacked bowls, sufficient number of towels, and dinner spoons. The house did not have any exterior outlet to charge our golf cart. Disappointing. We enjoyed the vacation because the beach access was ideal. The house could use ALOT of TLC.

Sol Mate has potential

To say we were disappointed with our rental would be an understatement. Sol Mate is in serious need of TLC or a total renovation. The pictures online are outdated and do not reflect a true picture of the condition of the home. We were looking forward to this much needed get away, but we were put off by all attention this home needs. I would not recommend this rental to anyone. The amount we paid didn't reflect the quality we expected. The property manager, Allyson, was very quick to respond to a few of our concerns that could be taken care of while we were there. Foundational issues caused a few stubbed toes and falls around the pool. Watch your step on the stairs leading to the beach because of nail pops. All the mattresses are VERY uncomfortable and need to be replaced. Bathroom tiles are missing, loose, and broken. Mold and mildew in each bathroom. Water pressure is weak in all of the showers. The bedroom carpets are gross. The ceiling fans are very loose and wobbly. The media/game room is really 1/2 of the garage that has been walled off. The portable AC in the game room doesn't cool the room down like the rest of the house. The things we like about Sol Mate was the location, lots of bedrooms, having two refrigerators and dishwashers, and lots of kitchenwares. The complimentary beach set up and rental credit for more chairs came in handy with our large group.

Beach access was amazing

Nice house for 5 families. Pool was beach side so easier to keep an eye on the kids. Had a few issues with the plumbing but it was fixed in a timely manner. Looks like they are in the process of some renovations. The house could use a little TLC but we would go back again!

The house is in horrible shape. The master shower doesn’t drain for at least an hour. Toliet lids broken. Fridges have broken shelves. The garbage disposal doesn’t work. Had stinking food it in. Overall very bad shape.

Wonderful vacation house

We had an amazing time staying in Del Sol at Miramar beach. The house was perfection. Location is great. Older grandkids could walk to nearby souvenir shop, ladies shopped at nearby outlet mall, but mostly we just stayed and enjoyed beautiful beach. I would highly recommend.
