"Very nice hotel on the beach with a pool that we had to ourselves the whole week. The only thing i didnt like were the picnic tables outside our room because other people would sit there at 6am in the morning and late at night smoking which we smelled in our room, talking, laughing and coughing so loud that they woke us up every morning. We are on vacation and prefer not to get woken up that early. Very annoying. And the people at the front desk barely speak english which is also annoying. Loved watching the fireworks from the hotel and there was also a carnival right behind us that was nice. We will be back! "

"We had a great stay for an 80th birthday celebration. Clean, spacious house with large kitchen and dining area. Bikes and water toys were fun for the kids. Large deck to gather for sunset. Community pool was an added bonus for the really hot days!"

"The house is lovely, with a kitchen dreams are made of — great for cooking, conversing, and eating. Tons of space, everything you could possibly need to cook or bake, and plenty of storage in the cabinets and pantry for all your snacks and ingredients.The fire pit in the front yard was perfect for roasting marshmallows (the provided camp chairs and corn hole set made it even better), and the picnic table next to the grill was great for sitting outside while the burgers were on. The private dock is lovely and well maintained, with stairs down to the shoreline, and great for fishing or just relaxing. Plus, the front porch and balcony are well situated to enjoy the sunrise or just sit and watch the boats — and even dolphins! — go by. If the weather’s not cooperating, the sun room’s a comfortable substitute with the same great view. It’s about a mile from the main beaches and commercial areas of Colonial Beach, so it’s much quieter (when there aren’t people shooting off their leftover 4th of July fireworks ), but you’ll likely want to bike or drive to restaurants or the beach. Book your golf cart well in advance!We had an issue with the water heater at 10pm the night we arrived, but Dan responded within minutes and put us in touch with the property manager, who offered to come out despite the late hour. It ended up being a quick fix I could take care of, but it was great to know how attentive and responsive both the host and property manager were. Can’t wait to come back!"

"We loved our stay at Boyce Cottage! The location is gorgeous. You can easily access Warsaw, Lewisetta Marina, Montrose, and more. The house is really comfortable with tons of extras like kayaks, a canoe, games, grill, and more. The kitchen has all the tools and equipment you need. The owner is super responsive and helpful. We will definitely return."

"This was our 2nd stay at this hotel for my wife, and I and we came away more impressed than our 1st. stay. Let me start off by saying what a welcome by Joy who was at the front desk. She was very welcoming, Cheerful and attentive, even though she was new to her position. The room was nicely appointed with low comfortable beds, unlike those tall beds in other establishments that you need a step ladder to get into, full size refrigerator, a good size TV with lots of channels to view. Everywhere at this hotel was spotless, including the dog walk area. They also had a well-kept area with picnic benches, a grill, horseshoes court, and an area set up for cornhole. The only small drawback is they do not have free breakfast but considering the difference in price between them and the other area hotels (which we have stayed at them all) and the recent poor quality of the breakfast at those hotels make staying at My Place worth the price"
