Mount Vernon Pet-friendly Hotel

"We just spent a wonderful week fishing off the dock and enjoying the local tulip festival, this cabin was exactly what we were hoping for. Upon arrival it was clean and well stocked, it is a spacious cabin that instantly felt like home with wonderful art on the walls and a truly sublime tiled shower. The deck was amazing, fitted with a hot tube for relaxing and a dock for fishing. We really could not have asked for a better cabin or hosts, we truly enjoyed our stay."

"We needed a nearby VRBO to stay in while our plumbing was being replaced on our nearby home. This cozy suite was a perfect spot. Convenient to amenities, our favorite hikes, restaurants etc. The suite has a unique character with lots of neat antiques and artworks. Very well maintained. Would stay again for sure."

"The Heron is a very well maintained vintage building with the creature comforts and customer service to entice me to want to return for a longer visit. There’s ample parking and we were able to plug in our electric car. The lobby area features an appealing lounge with massive fireplace and seating as well as the breakfast dining area. Breakfast was of a good standard with fruit and eggs made to order . The rooms have a mixture of vintage charm and expansive windows along with a nice bathroom...

"This is property is a Thousand Trails campground that accepts non-members. It’s clean, quiet and friendly. We went during the off season, so the pool and store were closed. That isn’t mentioned anywhere on the hotels.com website, or on the property website, so do your research before booking. We rented a cabin, and were expected to strip the beds, sweep floors and put all trash in the dumpster prior to checkout, or we would be charged a cleaning fee.
