"I stayed at the hotel while it was undergoing construction. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and the room was excellent. The breakfast was also very good. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the lobby and some of the other areas of the hotel, mainly because I wasn’t aware of the ongoing construction when I booked my stay. That said, I’m sure this will be a beautiful hotel once all the renovations are completed. I would be happy to return and experience it again when the work is finished."

"Very nice place, room was very well laid out. Had dinner there as well. Only down fall was that if your a Canadian you need to carry your passport with you, they wouldn't except your Canadian drivers licence as ID, only a passport, we tried to get players cards at the casino and was told we need to show our passports, who carries there passports ? we've been traveling to the US for over 40 years and had never been asked to show our passports, times are changing and I don't think Canadians are as welcomed as before the current environment."

"Traveled with my mom. Stayed on main floor. Safe area and lots of parking options. Plenty of dining options along the main road. Room was simple and generally clean. Bathroom did not have a fan and lights kept flickering. When checking the bed, noticed the frame was filthy-- wrappers, dirt, crumbs, and what appeared to be mold in some areas. Bed itself appeared clean, musty smell in the room. A/C worked very well. Breakfast was not good-- warmed egg patties with cheese, cold bacon, bread, and what seemed to be instant coffee. Cheap option but you get what you pay for."
La Quinta Suites by Wyndham South Bend Notre Dame Area

"Solo female traveler, $150 deposit returned with no issues. Good area, lots of parking--off main road so lots of traffic. Plenty of food options available nearby. Stayed on 3rd floor; very clean and room smelled fresh. Checked bed and it was clean. Separate sink from bathroom which was nice. A/C worked nicely and kept the room clean. Some loud neighbors at times. Receptionists were all very pleasant. More tv options other than sports and news. Breakfast was the only real letdown, cold despite me coming down only 30 min after it started. Eggs, sausage, toast, and cereal/ bread. Very good coffee."
