"Staff was so lovely. Room was perfect; clean, comfy, and spacious, good temperature. Bonus that they have a cafe attached to the lobby, made my first morning so much easier knowing I could get coffee quickly and make my scheduled morning tours. "
"The Mercantile is a recently renovated property, so everything is fresh and new. Rooms are a tad tight, but my understanding is that is to be expected. There isn’t much of a desk, and someone made a poor decision to glue their in-room phone right in the center of the little desk area there is. Bed was comfortable but the pillows are a little tough. Rooms were soundproofed so you don’t hear much outside, and they have great climate control/ air conditioning.
Breakfast service could use a bit of work in its execution and organization, but they’ll get there. All of the staff, from the front desk to the bar, are extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Lovely bartenders that know how to pour a pint of Guinness (very fresh and good). I’d have ate there more if the pub offered a discount for the hotel guests. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking to stay in temple bar. Beautiful spot. "
"It was clean and well run . Staff were great. The only issue we had was the noise from the kitchen extractor / ventilation at night … it was very noisy . We were on the 4th floor. The portrait painting in the bar was brilliant.
Would definitely return !"
"Lovely ? New hotel. Did not feel as though I was staying in a travel lodge hotel! Room basic but clean and more than enough for what I needed. Breakfast not included with my package but paid for it. Reasonable price with good selection. Cooked and continental. Bar/restaurant food good value and the pizza we had was fantastic! Good location for walking to grafton street trinity college etc. We got a taxi to Guiness storehouse as would have been a good 40 minutes walk Would definitely stay here again! Great hotel!"
"Centrally located with a market right next door. Staff were very pleasant and room was clean! Breakfast options were great. Due to being so close to the hustle and bustle, some noise travels up to the rooms but with the in room fan, it was easily blocked out. "
