「We had a lovely stay at Casa Loteria. The location is very central and the room was spacious and comfortable. Having a kitchen was great as we cooked our own breakfasts. In hindsight I would have included the breakfast option when booking, as it was a great deal and about half the price as buying it at the hotel. We enjoyed the pool and relaxing on the loungers. The staff were friendly and there is coffee available every morning in the reception hall. The free yoga for guests on the rooftop...

「This hotel is the worst place I’ve visited; I left immediately and did not stay. Hotels.com states front desk is open daily 10am-9pm. Upon arriving, we could not determine how to get into the property, with only a large, wooden wall to stare at. The massage lady next door showed how to lift a slats to reach inside to trigger the latch. Once opened, she called someone, with whom I spoke briefly, totally unaware of my reservation. The lady escorted us up a rusty spiral staircase which creaked...

「The renovation is fantastic....food is fresh and so much variety. The beach was excellent for catching waves as it is shallow sandy bottom for quite a ways. Walking distance to Bucerias and the nightly shows were great, especially the Riu party which was the best music and costumes and dancers I have experienced in Mexico. This trip solidified my interest in only using Riu properties. Clean and professional.」

「Octavio was very helpful and took care of us. The room was not clean. The floors of the bathroom were dirty as were the walls near the toilet. The jacuzzi tub is too high for climbing in and out unless you are over 5' 8" tall. There needs to be steps allowing for safe entry. I banged my leg the first time trying to get into the tub (while using a children's plastic step) and received a huge bruise when I slipped. My husband had to help me in and out of the tub from then on. I am 5'4" btw....
