"I rarely leave hotel reviews but felt compelled to leave a review for this hotel. What a gem! We will definitely be back if we are again in the area. While we had some minor concerns they were addressed super quickly. From the time I called the front desk to address these 2 concerns housekeeping was at our room in less than 5 minutes. All the employees we encountered were extremely professional. The breakfast was amazing and I have to say probably the best free breakfast buffet we have had. What a beautiful hotel and beach is right across the street for a nice morning stroll!"

"Island Cottage Inn exceeded every expectation. Tim and Kathy were unbelievably attentive, kind, and welcoming—truly outstanding hosts. I travel often and have never had such a consistently positive experience. The location was ideal, and the surrounding community felt like the definition of a perfect beach town: laid-back, friendly, and inviting. This place isn’t just somewhere to stay—it’s somewhere you’re genuinely happy to be. I would return without hesitation and recommend it to anyone."

"The unit is located toward the back of the building, so there was no road noise at all. I’ve stayed in multiple units in both the north and south buildings, and I continue to return.This unit includes a dedicated parking space directly in front of the garage, conveniently located almost directly below the balcony. The sunrise views from the balcony are very nice, and the location directly across the road from the beach is a major plus.The owner is extremely responsive and resolved a TV issue the same day I contacted her. While the interior is a bit dated, the furniture is comfortable and well maintained. Overall, this unit is definitely worth a return visit."

"The best VRBO! House is just beautiful. Everything is nicely maintained, lots of lovely wood furniture. Kitchen had everything we needed and more, TV is better than mine at home. We spent most of our time sitting on the dock, which is beautiful and relaxing. John and Christa are excellent hosts, so kind and responsive. This was our second wonderful stay and we're hoping for many more. "
