“位置偏僻但如果是度假的定位是可以接受的 這間飯店裝潢很有風格 房間舒適度應可以很高 但因清潔沒做好（前一晚有慶祝婚禮 我們的房間有一間有很重的狗臭味 另一間則是衛浴有臭味） 我個人覺得滿意 但住不同房間的同行友人卻覺得清潔沒做好而留下壞印象”

“Second visit and a very warm welcome once again, we stayed in the main building this time, plenty of stairs to room six, but a big room with a massive bed and nice views down the high street”

“A unique and quaint property. Owners have a long history with owning the beautiful lodge. Perfect for what we needed (1 might stop over). Would love to go back once fully renovated as a wedding venue. It has so much potential and I wish them all the best. Quirky fact - Charles Dickens stayed here back in his heyday! ”

“A beautiful, peaceful stay! So much space and goregous natural light streaming through sash windiws in the morning. The rooms are in an historic, listed building, so there are quirks and without the radiators it can be chilly, so if staying in the winter months consider bringing a cosy dressing gown to wrap up in, especially after a relaxing soak in the huge bathtub. The coffee machine and chocolates were a wonderful treat. As was waking up right in the city centre. ”

“Arrived late and left early, so really only slept there but had a very good nights sleep. We were welcomed, the room was lovely and clean, and quiet, and the bed very comfortable. It’s a shame we didn’t have a chance to experience the facilities, but perhaps next time when we have more time.”

“Lovely little guest house with the restaurant below it. The person at the checkout was welcoming and friendly, he brought my luggage up for me to my room which is really helpful because there's no lift, only stairs. Food was delicious (Asian-approved spiciness) and staff was nice. On the Sat evening when I was there , there had been a live band playing outside the restaurant area, they had a stage for live performances. Lovely atmosphere with good food and music. “Clean and tidy”

“My stay was amazing the staff was very friendly and helpful always there when you need anything and always respond to you it’s a really nice place to stay for long term or short term very homely and your ways made welcome couldn’t say anything bad about it would recommend to anyone if they want a cheap and exelant survis ”

“Accommodation was great, clean and newly refurbished with spacious room and good shared kitchen/laundry facilities. Shortage of forks/mugs however in kitchen. Good location near university with lots of nearby buses and train to centre. Accommodation could do better with recycling though and communal lights left on 24 hrs etc. HOWEVER I extended my stay and was NOT given the new door code so was forced to wait for more than 2 hours outside until the ‘emergency’ phone number picked up. “Paul met us on arrival. Explained everything clearly. Very helpful and friendly. Dirty around property meaning on the main path outside property burst and rotten and smelly rubbish all along path guessing the council bin men have had strike action and council not quick enough to clean area up thoroughly.”
