"I wish we were able to stay longer, because we had such a nice time at Hotel Galena. Nate has such great hospitality and we felt so comfortable like we were staying at a friend’s house. We had the standard room, but I would have loved to book a whirlpool room next time to relax and unwind from the day. They were already booked up unfortunately. "Room was spacious, walkin shower was nice with good water pressure but it did take time to adjust hot water. Very quiet on our 2nd floor room. Mattress could be improved as it was a spring type and not very comfortable. Even though smoking allowed in casino, the ventilation system in my opinion worked well, as I didn't leave feeling or smelling like I had been around smoking persons. Buffet was decent, though high priced. Selections were plentiful. "

"It is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is adequate....they no longer have a waffle maker or scrambled eggs. The swimming pool is nice, but disappointed they no longer have a hot tub."

"Nice place to stay. Hotel very clean and the location is perfect on the scenic river. Only one concern though, the wifi did work, but it was very slow. I even went from the room to the lobby and dining room, but still was slow. I rely heavily on wifi in the evening for the nature of my trip. Overall though, a great place to stay. **The Blackhawk Pit across the parking lot is amazing!!** "

"The size of the room was spacious and perfect for us. The hallways were clean/quiet. Of course we loved going to the casino. Only thing missing is a "lounge band" and dance floor like I've seen in other casinos."
