This was my 5th time staying at a Windsor Hills property and the first time I’ve been disappointed. This time there was only three of us so we opted for a smaller property; an attached condo instead of a large house. With me was my mother along with my 15 year old son, who happens to have autism, so having a rental property at Windsor Hills has always been fantastic mostly due to having our own private space and private heated pool so my son can relax and have some quiet time to ourselves to offset those hectic park days. Communication with the owner (or lack thereof) is what made this stay less than stellar. In May, when I booked the property, I messaged the host, specifically asking for the pool to be heated, knowing I was staying there in November when it gets down to the 50s overnight. Unfortunately, when we arrived for our first day we discovered the pool heat was off. After messaging the host, I received a message the next day that they weren’t sure if I actually wanted the heat on because “some peoples’ plans change sometimes”. I was then asked to confirm if I did indeed want the heat on for the pool. For the third time, I replied in the affirmative. Long story short the heat was not turned on for the pool until our third day (we only had a 4 night stay), which meant that once the pool got up to temp, my son was only able to enjoy the pool on the last night. There are so many wonderful properties and hosts in Windsor Hills but this is not one of those properties.
