Fell in love with Palermo and this hotel was part of the reason. Allowed me to leave bags as we were early for check in. Walking distance to museums, markets restaurants.

The air conditioning worked perfectly. The room was large and bright, very clean and attractively appointed. The street in front of the hotel was always extremely dirty with trash and the walking surfaces are in extremely bad condition. The hotel staff is excellent and attentive, the breakfast service was generous and of a high quality. Everyone was very gracious. I would say the only down side was perhaps the large tour groups that congested the lobby.

The facilities are slightly old but the room was clean and spacious and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is also excellent. The breakfast was just 6 euro and a nice buffet.

Great location and helpful staff. Modern nice hotel with a delicious breakfast. Rental car office just down the street. Rooms were very quiet with good soundproofing, comfortable beds and modern baths. All around was the perfect choice for us.

The neighbourhood had excellent restaurants but the city center itself is dirty with dog poop, rubbish all around. Hotel location was excellent. It is a bit old, small rooms but good service. I would stay there again

The hotel staff was very helpful in getting us the best room for our three days stay. The breakfast Buffet was awesome with a lady doing fresh cappuccino or any coffee preference. The hotel was walking distance of the historic area and landmarks. The area was very safe to walk day or night with many restaurants options.

Outstanding service, breakfast, room and bathroom. Only negatives were bathroom sink faucets. Splashes all over because the water gushed out. Also the noise. Noisiest hotel ever.

Nice hotel near the port and Massimo theatre. The room we had were ok, two bedrooms and a big balcony. We stayed on the 7th floor. The shower is really small, hard to move around. The beds are hard and so are the pillows. You only get paper cups in the room. Missed real glasses and coffee cups. The breakfast was crowded and noisy when we where there, in the beginning of August. Helpful staff in the reception and worth it if you get good price.

I love that this hotel was so close to everything. It was within walking distance. The only negative experience I’ve had, is I went out in the city for some toiletries and when I came back, there was a man sitting in my room watching TV. Also, when I came back to my room, a different day From an Excursion my room door was left slightly a jar. Luckily nothing was taken from my room and staff was able to accommodate me and move me to a different room where I felt more safe.

Breakfast very poor

Location and service are good. Worst breakfast we have ever had at a Mercure Hotel. Have stayed in many Mercure hotels. The breakfast is far below average standard. Bacon was cooked, scrambel eggs cold. Bread selection very poor, and accessories incredibly sparse and of poor quality.

There were thumping noises from ?? The water pipes?? Or the a/c?? on and off thru our stay especially in the evening and morning. Otherwise the room was brand new, clean and comfortable.

We booked a taxi transportation from Palermo to the airport .The receptioist booked for us and told us it was only 50Euro flat rate. When we got to the airport the taxi driver said it was 70 Euro. He said he had to make a little detour because of accident. But we did not see much of a detour because the inbound ws about the same distance. There is on way to argue with the driver since we were limited in Italian. He did not put on meter and word just came out of his mouth. I will write to the hotel and let them know do not use this taxi company or this taxi driver in the future. Not an honest person.

Two problems. Premier Room in the Annexe. First key didn't work; twice back to reception 100 m away so had to go back and forth. Room spacious, BUT, a dreadful hum like a pump quietly, getting louder, cutting in and out every 2 mins, so impossible to sleep with this constant reverberation going round the room. A motor is either next door behind the wall or above in the cavity. Unacceptable to rent out to customers. Hotel should have been aware of this big problem. Had no idea. I spoke with the receptionist at the desk who was reluctant to get the manager. Why should one be charged for this lack of premier treatment? So be wary about staying in the Mercure Premier Rooms. A dissatisfied customer.
