Country Hearth Inn Panhandle Plains hotels

"As a whole my stay was good, and the things that were negative were not deal breakers for me. The first being insignificant, the hotel only offered a few channels on the TV. When it is time to come back and relax before going to bed it would have been nice to watch more than news or a few random nothings. Again that is not enough to ding the place just annoying. The part I would ding is on the breakfast, the first day was standard food. The second day it was barely anything there. The eggs were not available, biscuits were baked hard, no wares to use. We went to breakfast at 7:30 a.m. on both days and there was only a few people in the dining hall. I am not sure why there was not anything available, but this annoyed me as it prevented a fulfilling breakfast. Nonetheless, it is not enough to never go back. The staff were great and nice so I could not complain about that at all and the place was clean and in a great location. Again, just minor annoyances that ding it down to 4 out of 5. "

"This stay was horrible. The entire building was rough looking. The AC wasn’t working properly. The tv remote was missing and was replaced with a remote that didn’t even work. Our room was never cleaned. The front desk never answered the phone when I’d call. The man who checked us in was rude and inconsiderate. My 4 year old son was playing with my friend and the attendant said “what’s wrong with him” as if my child, being a child, was defected. "

"The restaurant and bar were great; the atmosphere was unique. However, the hotel was muggy and smelled musky. While the review stated it was updated, our room was not. It had partially sheer curtains, a popcorn ceiling that was coming off, and a toilet that moved every time it was used. The bed was okay but overall the room needs a good cleaning, some fresh paint, and the electric plugs fixed on the nightstand lights. Made it work for the short trip but was disappointed. "

"Rooms are a little outdated, but comfortable and nicely decorated. Staff is always fantastic. Great place to stay for an overnight stop. Can be a little noisy due to the roadside traffic."
