「A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though.」

「it is a very old hotel with old facility at the price, small room - can't even open my suitcase on the floor, very old facility in the hotel and in the room, old wood window that has a big gap that is very noisy when hit by the wind (I had to put a towel in the middle of the night between the gap to stop the noise) bathroom very old, faucet very difficult to use, Parking very expensive 」

「The Knoll house hotel looks as though it could do with a lick of paint externally, but inside it is lovely. The food was good however the service on our first evening was rather slow. We were in the restaurant for 2 hours eating just 2 courses. It was much better on our second night. They accommodated my husband's need for gluten free food as he is a coeliac.」
