Pasig

Although Pasig is one of Metro Manila’s business districts, the city packs in a wide array of attractions for all of its visitors.

Pasig’s status as one of the most important business centres in Metro Manila has seen the city emerge as a stylish, modern destination with plenty of exciting things to do. Many locals choose to live here to enjoy its spacious parks, family-friendly attractions and historical sights. Spend your time in Metro Manila exploring Pasig’s malls, museums and monuments.

Visit Pasig Cathedral to better understand the history of the region. Augustinian settlers founded the city in 1572 and Pasig has maintained a rich religious culture ever since. The oldest parts of this Baroque cathedral date back to the city’s earliest days.

Bring your whole family to Pasig. Rainforest Adventure Park offers a zip line, skate park and boating lagoon. Stroll through the botanical gardens and take your kids to the playground. This park also contains Pasig Zoo, a leafy space that features an aviary and petting area.

Nearby is the Fun Ranch, a miniature theme park with kid-friendly rides. Relax while your children slide and crawl around the soft play area.

Discover treasures of Filipino culture in the Pasig City Museum. The exhibits are hosted in the Concepcion Mansion, which was used as a detention centre during World War II. Browse displays dedicated to pre-colonial Pasig and the Philippine Revolution. Learn about the history of play in the Dolljoy Gallery and Museum, where displays show dolls of every shape and size.

Go on a spending spree in Ortigas Centre, which sits between Pasig, Mandaluyong and Quezon City. Spend hours in malls that encompass cinemas and restaurants as well as hundreds of stores.

To reach Pasig, ride a train from Manila City or Pasay, which is just outside the airport. The Christmas season, which can start as early as September in the Philippines, is one of the most popular times of year to visit Pasig and the surrounding cities.

Becoming over developed, transport systems (as with the rest of Manila) are woefully outdated, under funded & well behind most other major cities throughout the world,
