Also a very comfortable place for my husband and I to work remotely. We brought our dog and walked just down the road to Porvoo Park most mornings. Trails nearby that span for miles. Also, a dog park just a couple of miles away. Just a perfect……

“We really enjoy the old schoolhouse turned into apartments. The price is very reasonable. We love how they tried to keep as much of the original structure as possible, the old doors and flooring. It is a clean and well kept property. The owners are very accommodating and have a quick response time, when I asked about staying another night. ”

“The property was a blast back in time, with it being a repurposed school building. We loved the high ceilings, wood floors, and tile flooring. This place hit the spot.”

“Didn’t seem like a bad area but all of the business buildings are not businesses anymore. The property is in an old building, which is unique and the idea is great. The problem is that the unit smells very strongly of old building. I felt like it was not clean because of the smell. Cool idea but I would not stay again”

“The outside of the building doesn’t represent how the place is on the inside. It’s a nice clean and well taken care of apartment that was comfy to stay in. Relatively quiet just noisy cars driving by at night. Very nice place to stay and a not very far from Houghton so it’s definitely a place I’d revisit.”

“Stayed one night to ride snowmobile up the keweenaw. Fantastic location, literally ON the trail. Great bars down the block. Hosts were very communicative and friendly. Clean place with tons of space to hang out. Nice use of an old building with cool history. Will be back!”

“The apartment was very cute and stylish. A great repurpose of an industrial building. We enjoyed being in downtown Houghton and being able to walk to restaurants, stores and bars. Our car was able to be parked in a parking lot across the street from the apartment so it was easy to get out of town to explore the Keweenaw. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Houghton.”

“This rental apartment was perfect. My college friend and I came up for our first snowmobile trip of the year This place is literally right on the atv/snowmobile trail. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property owner, Vernon, responded within minutes to all questions. And to make things even better the the South Range Pub (popular snowmobile hangout) and the 1902 Tap and Grill are basically across the street. Unfortunately packers lost but the South Range Pub was a great……

“The property is very clean and well stocked with anything needed. The location was convenient for visiting my daughter at MTU and for accessing the beauty of Copper country. It was a short drive to Canyon Falls, MTU, and Hancock. We truly enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion would be to add a curtain to the back door, and that is so minor. I most definitely recommend this property to folks visiting the area.”
