“We went looking for a long weekend at the beach and it didn't disappoint. The set up where the kids had a pull out couch bed, but it was actually two mattresses was a really nice set up and both the pull out bed and the main bed were extremely comfortable. The pool wasn't over crowded and the staff was lovely. The beach was stunning.”

“Wonderful hotel, very relaxing and peaceful but also great for families. Our apartment was split level and well equipped with a washer and a dish washer. It had a lovely terrace at the back which provided direct access to the beach walk way. Breakfast was lovely and staff were very friendly. Definitely try the freshly squeezed orange juice. This was perfect for us as we wanted something quiet and a bit more secluded. There are a few restaurants in walking distance and a supermarket but not much……

“We stayed at Pine Cliff Gardens for 10 nights. The accommodation was great. Very spacious and clean. I can’t fault Pine Cliffs. This was my second visit after 3 years. I thought the hotel was even better than previously. Staff were friendly and restaurant quality was excellent. We particularly enjoyed Rohini. My son played tennis every day and the coaching staff were top level. He also enjoyed the football academy. The World Cup was on during our stay and the hotel had set up a huge screen on……

“Overall the hotel was beautiful, though they need a little updating. We had informed the front desk that our phone was not working at all. Maintenance came and was making me flush the toilet 3 times to “reboot the line” I did so and still did not work so I asked for him to return tomorrow cause I saw no point in just flushing the toilet for the phone to work again. Also there was spiders on the balcony.”

“Both the hotel and the room were in good condition: clean, well-maintained, and relatively new. As for the staff, the front desk staff was generally distant and, at times, even unfriendly; however, the staff in the lounge and dining room during breakfast was always friendly, helpful, and efficient. The breakfast was varied and of good quality.”

“location is super close to a beautiful beach that wasn’t crazy busy, plus some pools on the property which was nice. room was clean, only thing to mention was we did find a piece of a false eyelash on one of our bath towels. staff was super good and helpful explained where everything was on the property plus let us store our luggage till our room was ready, it is kept out in the open however the front desk is there all the time so not terrible.”

“Had a really good time there with my family. I actually booked another hotel in Sagres, but with much smaller space and poorer infrastructure. So I cancelled that one, and drove back again to Balaia hotel. Again the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was also an indoor swimming pool nearby. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Not to mention that the price is so attractive. Definitely worth it.”

“The hotel has great pools and a wonderful hydro pool which is like a jacuzzi but not as hot. It has individual sections you can lay on and turn on personal bubbles. Loved that! It has two beaches you can walk to down a lot of steps. The closer one is a small beautiful secluded beach and the further away one is a large tourist one with a restaurant. I loved the breakfast which included champagne! The room was lovely. I highly recommend.”
