Best location in playa del Carmen. Everything is in walking distance and quite at night during sleep hours considering it is really noisy area. Friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel.

We chose his property because it had a lot of authentic Mexican culture qualities. The staff was super friendly there was no sales pressure from anyone. It’s still very close to the nightlife so there is some residual noise but not nearly as bad as other properties. Overall this place is wonderful and very close to everything downtown we would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice hotel with good location in Playa del Carmen.

This is a nice hotel with a very good location close to the beach, restaurants, shops and nightlife. I had a room on the ground floor with a fridge and microwave. The cleaning was flawless and the staff had an helpful approach. The pool area is well maintained with a lot of plants and trees which almost gives you a feeling of a tropical rainforest. There is some noise from a bar on the opposite side of the street. I could sleep - with airplugs at times- without any problem. In addition the walls are thin but I was not very disturbed by that.

Decent hotel. Friendly service.

Best of all, it was clean. Beds were pretty comfortable. A very loud location, so bring your white noise app. Breakfast that you have to pay for was not good or as advertised.

Five stars for location but its highly desirable location is also its curse. Nearby night clubs playing loud music till 2:30 am will keep you awake.

I like the building. Location was great the flower set up? The fridge Door wasn’t closing properly, so it was hard to keep anything cold Coffee maker was there but no coffee no sugar. I broke the glass and I had to pay 200 pesos

The bathroom was with mold and very dirty. The location was difficult to locate. They have taxes that you need to pay once arriving in the hotel. Around the hotel there are various bars that have music that is very loud that didn’t allow us to sleep very well that last until 3am which is a long time with high volume of sound.

Almost great!

Very cost effective, but not built for covenience. Great location, good people serving, very easy to locate and nearby everything, including Mamitas Beach Club. Would I go back? Yes if the price its right. What could improve? The bed, its not good, its like getting two beds together so the division makes you slide to the sides, not my deal. Overall, its a good place if the price its right.

While the hotel and the surrounding area is very nice, the humidity inside the room was unbearable. Also, the room we booked was a two-queen suite, but the beds were not queen. They were full size mattresses. A little disappointed about this.

This property is right across a bar that plays music until 3 a.m. when I let the front desk know about the terrible first night my family and I had, they told me that we could wear earplugs. The music is so loud that it will make your night miserable. I asked for my refund and they declined my request for a refund. They offer me a different property but said I would have to leave the current room at 12 and wait until 4 to go to the other property when I had paid for 4 nights. I decided that I would give a chance to go to another property they offer me, but when I arrived I was treated poorly. We were asked go wear plastic uncomfortable bracelets. We decided to leave and paid a whole new price for another hotel. Terrible experience and customer service at Rivera del Sol.
