"Wow what a gem to stay at! Last minute Black Friday decision to get way for New Years and we made the right choice! Restaurants were great America, hostess, made sure we could always get a table. Norma was a most exquisite waitress. And Jose at poolside bar never let your drinks run dry or your appetite linger without asking if you were ready for more. To round it off, Saul was alway around as any tireless piece working like magic from the background and threw one heck of a NYE Party. "A fantastic resort high above the ocean with fabulous views. The breakfast was amazing with perfect mix of Mexican and traditional choices. Pools were not crowded and had very comfortable lounge chairs. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Would rate this as a 5+ hotel. A bit out of the way but very quiet and relaxing. Will definitely come back!"

"Beautiful location. Great Staff who seem happy to be there. My room had 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room, and a kitchen, plus a wraparound balcony giving panoramic views of the bay. We listened to the sound of waves crashing on the beach. Yes, the hotel is a bit older, but it is well maintained, well staffed, and clean. On the bus route to Mismaloya, or a 6 minute cab ride to the Romantic Zone."

"Hotel Mondavi is located on top of a hill in one of the most luxurious and safe areas of Puerto Vallarta. There are many beautiful mansions around, and I saw police patrols often, which made the area feel very secure. The staff were friendly, and the property itself is quiet and peaceful. The pool and rooftop areas were usually private — most of the time I was the only person there, which made it very relaxing. The room size was just right, and the air-conditioning worked well. I walked from the hotel to downtown Puerto Vallarta several times. The walk took less than 40 minutes, and it was a nice road with great scenery. This hotel is perfect if you want to relax, enjoy the views, and spend time at the property. However, if you plan to go to the beach or downtown multiple times a day, keep in mind that the walk or ride up the hill can be a bit challenging to do more than once a day. Overall, it’s a great place for peace, comfort, and beautiful views."
