“If you’re looking to escape the city and truly relax, this is the perfect place. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. Although it’s an all-inclusive vegan resort, but we are not vegan , so we also enjoyed the fish and steak—they were delicious! The drinks were exceptional, and the staff was amazing—friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. “This is our second stay with the Riu brand resorts in Mexico. Riu Tequila is on the smaller side, which is nice for getting around the resort. The food was not the best (minus breakfast - it was good), but I’m not a huge fan of resort food in general, it all kind of tastes the same. Beach access is within walking distance, or you can wait a couple minutes for a shuttle. There are two other Riu properties you gain pool access to, which was nice. “This was our first time there and was not greeted by anyone. Staff was not smiling or asking if we need anything. Nobody talks to you when you are in the lobby even though there was staff everywhere. The family resort area, the pool closes too early. The children's pool closes at 6 PM when it's still nice and bright and hot and also the adult pool closes at 8 PM. When you're on vacation, all you want to do is swim so that's kind of ridiculous that they close the pool down so early when it's……
