Independent Pleasanton hotels

"Unfortunately, my stay with Red Roof did not meet up to its standards,advertised amenities, and price for my 2 night stay. There was concerns of mildew build-up as well as mold in the bathroom doorway and ceiling. The a/c as well had a smell of mold/mildew coming from it when it was on, just walking into room the air was a thick/dense odorous smell which is typically associated with excessive moisture or improperly ventilated areas where moisture is associated. (I work in property management and property take-over background and I am well aware of these kind of distinctions). The window was sealed and could not open to let that smell air-out. So my options was let the a/c run with this concern, or just have it completely off in this Texas weather with no other form of ventilation. furniture/lamps/pillows/amenities/housekeeping/customer service, there are a couple notes to go over and pictures I uploaded im google review. Given the fact that I paid about $625 for a 2 night stay (not including the $30-$35 parking fee that was not listed when booking the hotel stay), the hotel room furnishings like the pillows/fabric chairs/lamp covers all had unsanitary brown stains from not being upkept. The ice bucket had brown substance dried on the bucket, the chair with fabric had a brown stain from lord knows what. Housekeeping intruding and invading privacy with the visible "do not disturn" sign hanging, and not veing check out time nor requesting housekeeping. "

"Some front desk people not friendly. Shower water temperature could not be set; it cycled between cold and hot, room temperature could not be adjusted either; it was set at 64 F. Shampoo and soap were not supplied since day one. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we entered the hotel our family was greeted by their friendly, informative staff that welcomed us with a complimentary margarita. They have a beautiful property on the river walk with just about everything you could want, in walking distance. Dorrego's on site restaurant & bar was outstanding. They also have a separate tequila bar. You could spend the weekend and never leave the hotel. We will be back to stay as soon as possible!"

"The pool and gym need to be upgraded looks old. Pool feels like your in jail add murals and color to the walls make it feel alive feels dead "
