Peaceful recovery

It was truly a home away from home, with the ocean as backyard. Truly cozy home. Chris was great and took excellent care that we always felt at home. We definitely want to come back and recommend for an excellent vacation, with family.

Luxurious Retreat on the Beach

What an amazing home with fabulous views and a private beach. It was everything that we had hoped for and more. It has great areas inside and outside where you can visit with your family and friends or find a place to read by yourself. Everything that we needed was there, including a well-stocked kitchen ready for any chef. All you need is the food. Thank you for sharing this home away from home. I can't wait until we can come again.

Terrific Family Getaway

Great house in great location. Everything was "as advertised" and better. It is evident that the property owners have taken great pride in the house. The house was well equipped with quality accommodations in every way. We spent most of the time on the back patio and on the beach. Chris, the owner, was available and helpful. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Comfortable and spacious

There are so many areas to chill and take in the ocean breeze. The beds were comfortable and nice accommodations. The drive to St. Augustine was convenient and a nice private beach to have to ourselves. Thank you for a memorable 50th!

Great beach house!

First, Chris is as good of a communicator as host as any we have had. From booking to check out was very prompt to respond. House had so many areas to enjoy that a week wasn’t enough to utilize them all fully…but we tried! The house is everything that is pictured. Great views! I didn’t see many reviews that mention fishing, so for the fishermen check out kayak fishing on the south end of Guana Lake! We were all over the redfish! I would recommend this property!

This was a awesome property decided to go somewhere else this year with the family on vacation and choice this property on arriving the area was awesome thought we where in the wrong area and the beach was awesome as well not crowed very private great neighbors as we are accustomed to very crowded beaches and the property manager was great answering any questions we had and communicating with us had a great time with kids and grandkids

Beautiful location

From the initial conversations (I had a LOT of questions, as this was my first VRBO rental) with the owners to to checkout, it was a great experience. The home is in a great location - in between Jacksonville and St. Augustine - right on the beach. It was nice and quiet, as we were looking for a place to relax without all of the hustle and bustle of the downtown and standard beachfront areas. I would highly recommend and look forward to booking this location again in the future!!

Our favorite place

This is our second time staying at this property and it is nothing short of amazing. The beach is so nice and private. The house is clean and beyond comfortable. No detail has been overlooked. We brought my parents with us this time and they were blown away too. The property manager has top notch communication and is only a text away if you need anything at all. We can’t wait to stay again (hopefully 2 weeks next time because 1 week is just not enough)

The property manager’s communication exceeded expectations! He was super responsive and kind. The photos were exactly like the house. It was beautiful and so was the view. The beach was very calm and clean. We overall had a great stay and the house’s floor plan was so cute and unique!

Beautiful property, Great owner.

This property was everything it was advertised to be and more. Pictures were 100% accurate and the amenities not shown by pictures such as kitchen utensils, etc. were exceptional. Sonos music system was delightful. This is an exceptional property ! The owner was incredibly cooperative and helpful. I am just not sure how are our vacation could have been any more enjoyable. If you want beach front in the Vilano/ Ponte Vedra area, this is the place!

The Best

Wow, Chris (owner) has thought of every possible item to make this a perfect getaway beach retreat. From binoculars, tide clock, fish/shell identification books, games, more towels than a rugby team would need, ice machine we couldn’t empty, great beach and deck chairs. I could go on but you get the drift. Two hard to find items in beach homes (this is a home not a house); A/C which kept us at 73 degrees on 96 degree days and no nearby public access, we arrived on Sat to find one person on the beach. We loved it and we’re going back. Owner is very responsive and helpful. Thanks Chris

Beautiful View

This property was beautifully equipped and steps from the beach. Plenty of room for the family to lounge around together. The owner, Chris, was quick to respond when we had trouble finding things listed in the listing. The only thing I would mark against the property was that the lower suite had a smell that made it impossible to sleep there. Chris tried to fix with a a filter but to no avail. I believe he’ll will have it treated before the next guest. Otherwise, the view, the location and the rest of the house were amazing.

Fantastic

We just spent a fantastic week here celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends. It was exactly as advertised and we couldn’t be happier. The house was warm and cozy; welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked and had everything we needed for the week. The bedrooms were comfortable and we slept really well. Our favorite spots were down by the fire pit or hanging out on the patio. We loved listening the ocean and walking on the beach. It was easy to communicate with the owner and he was quick to respond when we had questions. I would, and already have, recommended this home to friends and family! Thank you for a week of great memories!!

Like a postcard

We had a wonderful family vacation. The details of the home were thoughtful and we enjoyed the layout, the different seating areas around the house. The landing area with the Adirondack chairs was beautiful. The hammock chairs underneath the porch were a favorite spot. Loved the screened in porch. Appreciated the responsiveness from the owner. Again, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again next year.

Our 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration.

Over the years my family has stayed in a number of vacation condos and homes. The Serendipity was the very best experience we have ever had. Cleanliness, completely stocked with household and beach items.Three King size beds with separate guest room complete with washer and dryer, refrigerator, coffee pot, etc. The owner Chris was so prompt to respond to any and all needs. We ( my entire family) all agree that we would definitely recommend the Serendipity to others and do plan stay to there again.

If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation, this is a dream home in a dream location!

I feel as though I read every listing for a beach home on the coast of Florida to meet the needs of my family … vacationing with my husband, teenage son, college age son and his girl friend, my daughter and son-in-law, and the most adorable twin grandsons. So … every age group was represented! I was looking for the right accommodations for a low key, relaxing, family vacation. The house was better than described on the listing. It’s truly a home instead of a rental. The furniture, appliances, and decorating are top notch. The home was well appointed with dishes and cooking utensils to meet every need (and we cooked every day)! I LOVED having easy access to two sets of washers and dryers. The bedrooms were fantastic with comfortable beds, amazing closets, and literally room for everything. I was fortunate to have slept in the bedroom adjoining the screened on porch. The beach sunrise is the perfect way to wake up. I also should add that the house is very soundproof … we didn’t hear noises from other rooms. That was a bonus as some of our party went to bed before the others. The Seaside Retreat was absolutely perfect for my daughter and her family. The suite was big enough to accommodate 2 large pack and plays and a quiet place for the twins to sleep. There were so many outdoor areas to enjoy with really nice lounge chairs. The rooftop deck was a favorite of my husband, many of us enjoyed the lounge chairs on the main deck, and my mother in law spent a lot of time in the screened in porch. When I read that beach towels, beach chairs, etc would be provided, I had no idea what to expect so we still brought a few things. There was no need to bring anything from home. There was more than enough beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys to accommodate our needs. The outdoor shower with hot water was a hit. We often brought the baby soap and shampoo out and bathed our year old twins in the shower. Honestly, a week was not long enough to enjoy all the things and areas the home had to offer. For example, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the hammocks or the fire pit. The beach … wow! It feels very secluded. Most days, no more than 4-5 people even walked by the house. The ocean was great for boogie boarding and my crew collected some nice shells. Check in and check out was a breeze and Chris was very easy to communicate with. I really can’t say enough about this home. I would rent it again and recommend it to others!
