“We had booked for the wrong date, we called and they had no problems switching our days with no hassle. The place is near shops and restaurants, easy to walk around and not have to worry about driving. Breakfast was superb, I was not expecting a gourmet breakfast but that’s exactly what we got. I highly recommend this this Inn. We will definitely be back. We stayed in one of the small rooms, but this was still spacious enough for two people to be comfortable ”
“We had a great stay! Guest staff. I want to plan to come back another time and stay longer! Thank you for a great experience. Loved how it was so close and convenient to all the shopping and dinning options ”
“Just a short walk across the dunes to a nice quiet beach. Breakfast was great; staff was friendly and helpful. They have beach towels, chairs and umbrellas for your use. Pool was refreshing and clean. We were in the cottage in the Windjammer Suite. Big and roomy with a large bedroom and smaller room with refrigerator, microwave, table and a small couch. The Beach Bus has a stop really close.”
“Very large room and bathroom size. Historic building but modern bath and very comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly. Great breakfast and happy hour. Water across street and in historic St. Augustine. Only downside is parking -- either parallel parking across from inn on busy street with meter that starts at 8 am and goes to 9 pm OR free parking that is 4 blocks away. In heat & humidity the 4 blocks seems like a lot especially when dressed for dinner. Stairs to 2nd floor are steep. Overall,……
“Lovely historic B&B with loads of charm and character. Family run. Super friendly and attentive. Great breakfast. My only gripe is that I totally missed that the Riverdale Inn serves afternoon tea (which need reservations 24 hours in advance) Will definitely return to this property and will be sure to book tea!”
“Excellent location in the heart of St Augustine.
An easy walk to all the key places of interest, restaurants, bars etc. An excellent breakfast was provided each day. Michelle and Ellie were very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome.
The room and en-suite were comfortable and quiet.
Thoroughly recommended. We'd have no hesitation in staying here again.

“Great location! Friendly staff! Comfortable clean room! Amazing garden breakfast! My husband and I love to come back again! Totally worth every penny you spend! ”
“We loved the location of the property and the proximity to St. George Street and downtown. The manager was very attentive and communicated via text, which was so convenient. He was also kind and friendly. We really enjoyed the daily breakfast that was included. Yogurt/ berries, eggs, bacon, hash, coffee & juices. Very nice.
The property was clean and cute, but as with many homes in this historical district, it could use some TLC with the paint, hardware, and that’s why my score was not a 5 in……
“1894 house was a delight. We were not on the main property but the 1894 house a short walking distance or drive. It was a very homey feeling staying there for a birthday celebration. Walkable to the historic area or trolley stop. Staff at the inn were very friendly. ”
“Our room was named “haven” and it was exacty that! Right in the middle of historic district, so convenient, nice balcony! Wonderful doors to balcony that blocked out all the fun energy out there when you’d had enuf. A quieyhaven inside💕💕”
“What's not to like about this property? It's close to the Lightner Museum and the hop-on hop-off trolley, making getting to all the popular attractions a breeze. The Victorian style of this Inn is a tribute to the past, with modern touches. And the STAFF. Second to none. Shasha made our stay memorable with her hospitality. I can't say enough about Cedar House Inn. Highly recommend it. ”
"I have previously enjoyed exceptional stays at InterContinental properties, notably in San Diego and Sanya. During a recent business trip, due to the absence of a nearby InterContinental hotel, I chose the Holiday Inn Express Jacksonville South Bartram Park (13934 Village Lake Circle, Jacksonville, FL 32258) for a two-night stay from March 20 to March 22, 2025, trusting the IHG brand.
After my first night, I requested a late check-out, which Mr. Rojo, a courteous long-haired male staff member, promptly approved. However, merely an hour later, Ms. Chris, a female staff member who was overweight, wearing glasses, with a slight bald spot, and dressed in a red and white floral shirt, rudely rescinded this agreement without providing any valid reason. Her demeanor was unprofessional and hostile, raising serious concerns about racial discrimination, especially as her colleague appeared embarrassed by her conduct and even questioned her decision by asking, “Are you serious?”
In all my years of traveling and staying at various hotels, I have never encountered such blatant discrimination. This incident is completely unacceptable and has severely tarnished my perception of the IHG brand. I strongly advise fellow travelers to reconsider staying at this property to avoid potential discriminatory treatment."
