「Great place very friendly owner nicely setup - easy central access to town and the marina」

「Lovely room at the top of 2 flights of stairs. Enough space for the 2 of us and luggage. Clean. Good shower. A good selection of tea &coffee. A payable mini bar. Good shower and the host has some toiletries for use if you’d forgotten anything. The location is great 2 mins walk to bars and restaurants. My advice is read the message from the hotel with the check in details (I didn’t) it a key lock box the code is in the message attachment . Jenny didn’t mind at all that I hadn’t read it...

「Had a wonderful stay at Anchorage, it’s such a fantastic location. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Great communication from the hosts and everything went very smoothly in terms of checking in/checking out. Would definitely recommend this place and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.」

「Great location right at the water’s edge. Property could do with painting here and there and the bathroom taps needed some attention. Water pressure was low so shower was not great. Fire alarm went off twice in the early hours of the first day and it took the staff ages to get the alarm light to go out in our room.」

「The hotel is very well run and the hosts are very helpful. The rooms are a decent size. Although it took a while for the water to warm up in the shower. I acknowledge that this is beyond the owner’s control, but my second floor room overlooked a junction and the traffic was noisy . At about 4am a lorry collected the empty glass bottles. The noise of the crash as the glass shattered was shocking. Avoid a roadside room on a Wednesday morning….if you want undisturbed sleep.」

「Have stayed at here a few times. Good location and if you want to use public transport, there's a bus stop right outside. You don't need to venture very far for a good meal (downstairs!) and breakfast served is made to order. This is our go to place to stay for convenience for access to beach, buses to Swanage and nice walks!」

「Price Paid via Expedia excluded breakfast. This was NOT made clear on Expedia website The price paid was identical to the normal room price INCLUDING breakfast charged by the hotel. We, therefore, were charged £29.90 for a service we were denied because of Expedia. Room lacked a fridge.」
