Hotel Flaminia

10/10 Excellent

"Perfect location on the waters edge of the Lake Garda, in the busy historic town of Sirmione. Able to get directly into the Lake , a sun terrace with lovely views along with a restaurant. Breakfast gave a really good variety of cold and hot buffet food. A small but varied selection of gluten free items a bonus. We also had one evening meal in the hotel which was delicious. We had a twin room on the side of the hotel with a julienne balcony with a Lake view. Room had comfy beds, plenty of wardrobe space, safe and a fridge but no kettle. New bottles of water were given each day. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful."

"The location was amazing! Such a cute little area! The staff was really helpful and they helped arrange a shuttle from the parking lot to the hotel. The only thing to prepare for is the small rooms and limited amenities. Also in the pictures it shows a pool but that does not come with the hotel; it is the thermal spa nearby. P.s. You should go on the boat ride tour! It’s so fun! P.p.s. This was written from a child’s perspective!"

"On site parking in secure area was very good. Reception staff excellent on arrival and throughout vacation.Building work being completed by entrance to swimming pool.Good base for travelling to Brescia City centre/Lake Garda/Lake Iseo. Room cleaned every day for the stay. Breakfast good choice . Meal at hotel 3 rd night was very good and reasonable price."

"The only positive was the location: it is near the shuttle bus and not too far from the center. However, the stay itself was very disappointing and far below what we expected from a 4-star property. The room was advertised with a double bed, but we received two unstable single beds pushed together. The mattresses separated easily, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. Bedding was inadequate: single blankets, no proper blanket covers, and unpleasant smells. Towels and sheets required extra payment, which was not clearly disclosed when booking. Wi-Fi also required an extra charge. The bathroom had visible mold in the shower, broken sink and bidet fixtures, and almost no toiletries except one small hand soap. We reported the problems to reception and were told they would be fixed, but nothing meaningful was resolved during our stay. Overall, cleanliness, comfort, amenities, and service were unacceptable."

"A stunning old hotel right at the end of the peninsula of Sirmione. We had a long weekend in the gorgeous Vivaldi suite. It was spacious, clean and comfortable (except for the incredibly hard pillows!) The staff are lovely and the breakfast is wonderful. The only criticism of the staff would be the owner who delivers the morning coffees. He was pretty rude and didn’t give the impression he was happy to see you. Our stay was over a weekend and we hired a car. That was a mistake - the amount of people in Sirmione is incredible. There were a lot of restrictions around when you can and can’t bring your car into the town over weekends and special events - which we didn’t realise until we arrived! I would stay at this hotel again and enjoyed our stay."

"This is a smaller hotel but nice and in a quiet location. The rooms as clean, comfortable beds, just very small in size. We had to put our large luggage on top of the cabinet as there was no space on the floor. The pool is small but clean. Check in was fast and the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night as they were fully booked for the weekend. There is a restaurant right across the street, looks nice, we didn't try it. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices and the hotel has plenty of parking around and under the property in the garage."
