「the staff are very helpful and polite. Fabulous location, in the centre of the old city. In Chiang Mai, you could only take bolt or grab to travel. The traveling expenses were vety cheap. Good scenic views in the national park, especially those waterfalls scattered around. A tranquil journey which was so relaxing.」

「I spent a week in a Queen room at Kavil Guesthouse in early November 2025. The room was good sized, with a comfortable bed and good-quality sheets and towels. Everything worked as it should, like the A/C, Wi-Fi, hot water, etc. I particularly appreciate the drinking water available for guests to fill our water bottles, and an in-room wall-mounted fan to supplement the A/C. 「I chose Makka Hotel because of it is just ~500m away from Tha Phae Gate where the Chiang Mai Marathon starts & ends (as well as where to pick up the runner's pack). The city is small, 30 min walking from Tha Phae Gate can go to most of the hot-spots inside the city. I had a pleasant 4D3N stay (Fri to Mon) in Makka; night markets, coffee shops & restaurants are everywhere.」
