"The room and bed was riddled with bugs .. issues were taken up with the owner but the owner was unrepentant and wouldn’t refund .. alternative accommodation was found on the same day .. not recommended "

"A fab quiet spot with everything you need to enjoy a chilled break away. We found the accommodation perfect for our needs, which was a break not far from home with the pooch and baby. The facilities were great, I really liked the large, well heated pool, that's rare to find, especially at this price point. The small dog area, play park, games room, kids play room and cinema were all well done and had plenty to keep families busy. The local area is great for dog walks, lots of foot paths to choose from and much industrial history to find hidden around the area.All in all, really great, the only cons were the pillows, we both struggled with them but we are snobs for nice pillows so perhaps not a reasonable complaint.Will certainly go back and consider using this place in years to come for low stress holidays in the UK."

"We had a wonderful time at Moorlands. The house was stunning, with plenty of room for our family group. The downstairs bedroom/ensuite was perfect for my elderly Mum. The two upstairs bathrooms with walk-in showers were great for the rest of us.The open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge was airy and very comfortable. The electric fire was warm and a great feature.Everything you can think of is provided: washing up/dishwasher items, hand soaps, shower gels, towels, tea towels, plenty of toilet rolls, even feminine hygiene products. There has clearly been plenty of love and care put into this gorgeous home.The garden is amazing with 4 separate seating areas, including a very cute wooden cabin. The help-yourself vegetable garden was an added treat; the best tomatoes we've tasted!!There are two pubs within walking distance. We ate at the Somerset Wagon, my daughter is coeliac and there were plenty of gluten free options.The village is small so a car is recommended, although buses did travel through.We would be very happy to return to Moorlands!!"

"We used the house for a belated Xmas family gathering. There were 11 of us. The house was very clean and very big. It had games, a pool table a hot tub and a barbecue. That entertained us so much we almost couldn't be bothered to go out sight seeing. In summer you would be able to sit out in the garden but this was January and rather rainy.The only glitch was the first two cars to arrive couldn't find the house. We used satnavs and Google maps. The main road was very busy. Once we had worked out it was between two Chinese restaurants and had black and white posts outside it we were fine.The teenagers were delighted to have a room with a double bed all to themselves. The kitchen, two living rooms and the barbeque hut were big enough to hold our whole family comfortably."

"Comfortable rooms and nice kitchen for tea and breakfast. Grocery store 1 minute walk away. No soap was provided though and there was inadequate lighting in the room."

"Pine Lodge was a wonderful place! It was very special and like nowhere we have stayed before. The owners were so helpful when we arrived and everything was easy to find and well labelled. The owners clearly understood what family holidays are all about. There was plenty to do on the site. The grounds were beautiful and included a pool, cinema room, games room, play park and washing and drying room. The grounds were gated and felt extremely safe and secure and I felt at ease to let my little ones use the park etc as there was no access to anyone who wasn’t staying there and no road traffic issues at all. There was ample parking and I could see my car from the lodge. We used the pool and games room many times and both were brilliant. We nearly didn’t leave the site as we were so happy there. The lodge itself was really pretty with a lovely balcony for sitting out. The balcony overlooked the river. The bedrooms and beds were really comfortable. Again the owners had thought of everything here. There was plenty of equipment, a really good sized fridge and freezer, dishwasher etc. there was an information booklet with all the information about the site. I cannot recommend a holiday at Pinecone Lodges enough! It was worth every penny!! We will definitely be returning!! Thank you so much for one of the best holidays we have had!! See you again! ⭐️"
