“Although the hotel is meant to be rustic and it very much is, it is lacking in some areas. The bed could have been more comfortable. The bed linens need to be updated. A coffee maker was more necessary than the furnished refrigerator. ”

The kitchen and outdoor area is lovely. There’s everything you need both in the property and nearby. It was very chilly at night but was provided with extra blankets, the strong wind was a little noisy with plants hitting my window but I didn’t mind and always take earplugs in case of outside noise. “This was my family's second stay at Hotel Don taco. I love it there! The room was great - the restaurant and bar in the hotel is convenient with great food and staff. The staff is always helpful. It helps if you speak Spanish as they do not always speak English perfectly but that is true all over Costa Rica except at the big tourist places, airport etc. The best amenity of the hotel is the resident dog, Paco, who we want to adopt every time we visit. “There were ants everywhere”

“This is a B&B, not a hotel. They have 7 or 8 rooms and 2 parking places. The B&B is in a residential area, and the road is not paved. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. We stayed in a family room with full queen beds and bunk beds (no railing on the top bunk, so probably out for younger kids). The breakfast was simple but good. Because they only have 3 tables and they cook it fresh for you, you may not be able to eat since many people schedule tours for the morning and need to……

“Located on the edge of the main town, greeting was warm and full of smiles which was followed by extensive information on the facilites and of many local excursions - we booked a local night walk which was perfectly managed. Room was compact but roomy enough to relax with a small open balcony. Breakfast was hearty with 4 or 5 options alongside unlimited beverages - local juices recommended. Add in free parking, simply perfect all around”
