"Great short stay in the center of Almaty during a transfer on Air Astana. Young desk staff were wonderful and helpful. Airport transfer efficient. Room was better than I had expected given the price I paid. Breakfast buffet was excellent if not effusive. Love the local options. Lobby is grand. Location central. A/C struggled during hot spell."

"I recently stayed at the Novotel City Centre for work, and both the hotel and its location were excellent. Unfortunately, I was overcharged by a taxi driver upon arrival at the airport, who demanded 40,000 KZT for a ride that should have cost only 10,000 KZT. However, a member of the hotel staff, Adil, went above and beyond to assist me. He promptly reviewed the hotel’s CCTV footage, identified the taxi involved, and contacted the taxi company on my behalf. Thanks to his intervention, the driver returned to the hotel and refunded 30,000 KZT directly to reception. Adil’s professionalism, initiative, and dedication to guest service were outstanding, and he should be sincerely congratulated for his efforts. This experience truly restored my faith in customer care."

The breakfast was the most extensive buffet we have ever seen; we were shocked that there had been negative reviews. The location is great. "Excellent customer service!! Everyone at the hotel are super helpful and supportive. My mom stayed at the hotel for 8 nights, she needed assistance with ordering transportation, bringing her breakfast to the table, opening doors. She has a broken leg and is forced to use a walker. Every person at the hotel helped her with a smile. Beautiful people! Thank you! I would also like to mention the ease of booking and paying for the hotel. A lot of hotels in the area would not accept remote payments with a credit card or a third party service. Regardal were excellent again! Great communication and no issues with checking in or checking out. Thanks for allowing an early check-in! The hotel might be a little run down, but it's super clean, room and cleaning services are on top of their game! A small suggestion - please add an extra outlet to the room. It's a minor inconvenience for people with mobility issues. Special appreciation for the variety and quality of the breakfast menu and once again, all the workers at the breakfast buffet. Overall, my mom's stay was very pleasant and the entire experience deserves 6 stars. Thank you very much!"
