“Most wonderful place tot stay in, a real Palacio in the heart of Porto. Decorated with such An eye for detail, it almost could be a museum. But it is also the gracious reception and personal touched by the host that made our stay memorabele. A chocolate on the bedside table, slippers next to the bed when you come in for the night... Lovely breakfast, made to order. And all this for An incredible price.
Only tip: park your car and take taxi to the address - it is in a restricted area.

“This is one of the best hotel experience I have. Very stylish design of hotel, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff who is willing to share with you anything about the city. Great breakfast too!”
“The property is at the entrance to Porto, in a pedestrian area with spectacular views. Restaurants are definitely more expensive and there are of all qualities, but everyone finds what they are looking for without a doubt. The hotel staff is very attentive and provides excellent advice on how to make the most of your stay.”
“I stayed at the apartment for two nights. The apartment is spacious and well equipped, and very centrally located.
The hotel itself is very beautiful especially the library.
The front office team are very helpful and kind. Many thanks to Iris and Daniel for their help.
I had drinks at the bar one night and Miguel had offered great recommendations on wine.
It was a lovely stay and hope to stay in the hotel next time.”
“Excellent location with great view of Porto cathedral! Many restaurants, shops and walking distance to Sao Bento station. Staff were very friendly and helpful, provided good overview of apartment and suggestions for eating at which restaurants! Loved our stay, highly recommend! Apartment was clean, completely with kitchen, and very spacious! Excellent sound proofing and comfortable beds!”
“Very good introduction and recommendation of the restaurants when the agent Daniel was checking in for me. Daniel provided an excellent service to his customer like us. Thanks to him !”
"Two reasons you should consider this hotel but many more reasons not to book!
Good things: the spa and restaurant staff are great, and the location is exceptional but they’re many other hotels next door.
Bad things:
- unfriendly receptionist: the receptionists were not attentive and friendly throughout my 3-day stay, especially the one who checked me in. I just looked at the other guest comments, it seems my bad experience was not unique to me.
- Room conditions: the room has a very small window (like a prison) that offers almost no natural night. Hotels.com must indicate this in the room description because people like me do mind. Also, the room size is small.
- Noise: Throughout my entire stay, I could not sleep well because of the noise coming from both inside and outside of the hotel. Imagine disco music is On till 2am.
- Housekeeping: the bathrobes were being removed from the room and clean towels were not refilled. The cleaning and amenities were random - good luck!
Extra charge: 20 Euro for the receptionist to just make a phone call to get a taxi, while the taxi ride costs just 10 Euro. I’d rather pay an extra fee to the taxi driver who actually delivered a service and drove me to the train station safely. Where does it say in the hotel’s public information on this extra charge? Shouldn't it be a part of the 5-star hotel? "
