Fantastic location on Mission Beach
I was a little hesitant to rent this property given the lack of prior reviews, but I would not hesitate to return. The unit is as described - the whole top floor of a building right on the Mission Beach boardwalk, with a full-width balcony from which to enjoy some of the best people-watching imaginable. After a day of visiting one of the many nearby attractions, I looked forward to the best part of the day: Waiting for a sunset while enjoying some of San Diego’s best craft beers. (Clouds spoiled a few sunsets, but no evening was wasted given the action on the beach and boardwalk.)
Inside, the unit is not fancy, but perfectly serviceable for a quality family vacation. The kitchen is well stocked and reasonably modern by vacation-rental standards, the furniture functional and comfortable, and everything is clean. For us the only negative was the master bath combination tub and shower: As a shower, it’s pretty awkward, but this is a very minor issue.
Parking in the garage is tight but doable once you learn the best path for backing in; however, a larger SUV would not be fun here. (Our minivan rental fit just fine.)
