“The room was clean. When we checked in, they told us we owed double. When there was water, it was hot. But at night, we could not shower as there was no water. The bed was very hard. It’s next to a very busy street and very loud. People came in and out all night. There was very little sleeping that occurred. Overall the hotel is cheap and you get what you pay for. If you want a good night’s rest, this is not the place.”

“The location of hostel may not be very convenient as it is a bit up to the hill. But due to this reason, the view is super great! The staff is very helpful too. ”

“Really nice hostel, close to the plaza and really friendly staff. Decent breakfast as well. Has a cat which is an added bonus.”

“This place honestly looks like it should be condemned. It was disgusting. The walls are peeling, there were 4 different types of flooring in each room, and the bedding and towels were stiff. I checked for bed bugs because the place looked so bad. I’m happy to report there were none. With each step we took, we were afraid our feet would break through the floor, it was incredibly squeaky and uneven. The outlets were inconveniently located. We rented a total of 4 rooms and each was just as bad as……

“The lady who owns and runs Chabela Host, is quite literally the nicest woman in the world. My room and bathroom were super clean, she gives plenty of blankets, there is hot water with decent water pressure, and she provides a breakfast at your request. I’m only sorry, I couldn’t stay longer. The place is a little hard to find from the street. Upon entrance, you need to walk all the way down to where the street ends and the only option is a left hand turn. Don’t turn! Just knock on the door in……

“Quiet place to stay; very helpful staff; adequate breakfast. It can get quite cool at night, but the beds have multiple layers so they keep you nice and cozy.”
