We cant wait to go back!!

My wife and I had an amazing time in Longboat Key while staying at Silver Sands. Our unit was awesome the back screened-in porch had a path right onto the beach. Upon walking into the unit there was a nice clean smell. Everything was tidy. The room came with pretty much everything you needed for a nice getaway. I highly recommend staying in one of the two rooms that lead right onto the beach it was absolutely perfect. All of the staff was accommodating and very friendly. I also loved that the beach wasn't overcrowded in this area.

Peaceful and beautiful location

If you want a relaxing and peaceful location, this is the place for you. The place could use some updating on the inside but we were very happy with our stay. Will definitely be back here again!

Ground floor end unit directly on the Gulf. Walk out the back door and you are in the beach.

Hotel a bit older, but this unit was great since it is directly on the Gulf. Several excellent restaurants nearby.

A Perfect 3-Day Holiday Vacation!

Where to start? The weather was perfect. Check-in was easy, even though we arrived late. And, despite it being July 4th, there wasn't much traffic and the grounds weren't that crowded. The unit itself was in a perfect location on the property, away from the pool area, right on the dunes overlooking the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. While not big, the unit was well-appointed and neat and clean. We brought a ton of food and drinks, and the kitchen accommodated it all, making cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner a snap. The screened porch was the highlight; it had a great view of the beach and was the perfect place to have meals and play games and listen to music. The bedroom was a good size, and the bed was comfortable. The pool was huge and well-kept, and the adjacent BBQ area made grilling out fun and convenient. The beach was nice, too (the water was warm and delightful, and we collected more shells than we could carry!), and the lounge chairs and umbrellas provided for guests complemented our own beach chairs nicely. We wish we could've stayed all week! Simply, Silver Sands #240 is a wonderful retreat. Having traveled the world and lived and owned vacation properties ourselves in exotic locations like the Caribbean, we know how hard it is to please everyone; we couldn't have been happier with our stay. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found such a gem of a property at the last minute. We'll be back again soon! All that said, a few very minor points to mention: a) parking was tight, probably because we arrived late; b) there's no ice machine on the property, so be sure to bring bags of ice from the liquor store right up the street (and turn #240's fridge ice-maker on when you arrive; it works great); c) there's a hole in the wall in the bathroom near the tub that should be repaired; d) the bathroom door doesn't open all the way, and makes standing at the vanity awkward; and e) the main walkway along the north end of the property to the beach runs alongside the screened porch and can be annoying when other guests aren't courteous as they pass. All in all, we had a wonderful time! Great job on your unit. Keep up the good work...
