「This was our first stay at McMillan Inn. It was somewhat of an unplanned trip and just by chance we booked one night here. Jackpot!! We booked the Montgomery Room and it was like a storybook dream. The clawfoot tub, the king bed with fireplace, huge windows, and on and on. The property is magical. Sitting on the front porch swing at night with a glass of wine is worth the stay. 「Breakfast was VERY good. It’s continental, not cooked-to-order, but offers many good options, with coffee and juice. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is mainly on the street. Chuck, the daytime manager, helped us find a space and we didn’t move the car until we left. The historic area is easily walkable and two routes of free DOT buses are available. 」

「It wasn't the worst, but it wasn't the best either. The staff wasn't overly friendly and seemed like you were bothering them. While the property was updated, everything just seemed a little grungy. Our shower drain was backed up so it would fill up with water when you took a shower. I overheard another woman tell the staff that her door handle was broken and the shampoo and conditioner was empty. So overall, it wasn't bad but just wasn't one of the best hotels I've been at.」
